Right. And with Aspire BVC coils, it's a perfect MTL device. :)

these things

In one sweet , short phrase – “sorry I bought it…$$

only real reason I bought it was; figured I should own at least ONE DNA chip  (big deal)

it does have a designated SS 316 setting

It was just too much money for lack-luster TC performance
I don’t have troubles with things, I seem to always make them work (as intended)
but this one is very inconsistent with whatever it does with TC...
just straight up standard Watts control it does fine, but so does my many other $25 devices…

love the size and hand fit, it has a great look and all the functions (button push, panels, 510 threading etc) work great… (hats off to Lost Vapes)

I don’t care about downloading any add-on programs, for the money, it SHOULD just work…

but you live and learn…

the AL85 is low end in my book  , but at least it only cost $40 bucks...

IMO
Thanks for the update. Guess the search goes on...

That's what I want: A user replaceable, single battery DNA device that works well in TC mode out-of-the-box. Don't want to fiddle with it. (Can't anyway - Mac only household, with zero desire to switch or to go dual)

Well, Tweety, I don't know if I forgot about this, or if I didn't know it at all, but have just put an Aspire BVC in my STM.......and it works beautifully for MTL......

THANK YOU!

so if you are looking for something 'other' than a device with a J.E.W. chip (joye/eleaf/wismec) might I suggest a iTaste HUNTER
a very sturdy, robust and fine operating unit - I dub it the best fire button I've ever pushed ;)

Thanks, FranC.

I'd been tempted to try Ego One Mega tank with it's CLR coils because they seem so popular and easy enough to rebuild.

But, the GS Air is too airy for me. So, the CLR probably is too.

Oh, well. Like I really need to collect another type!
You can shut the AFC down pretty tight on the EggRolls.

My favorites are the KFL, carto-tanks, and on my REO the RM2.
You'd be fine with them low, DH. In fact, I'd project that you'd move them just a touch to the right.

Actually I have no complaints about the Joyetech board. Works fine for me in TC. It's the short throw of the spring-loaded 510 pin that doesn't work for me on occasion.

Sure looks sturdy.

I already own one sturdy mod (no, I didn't buy it). I'm good. :D

What IS that mod, Katya? :?: Kinda cool looking - in a weird way... ;)

I was always intrigued by those, Katya. If it wasn't for the auto-shutoff, I'd probably have a couple of them. I dig the looks.

Right. ;)

Hi USMC and company. I got my VoidRay last week and I have mixed feelings. The mod is fine and works great, and is indeed very light and sturdy. Very comfortable to use--the shape, the weight, the buttons, the 510 connection are all great. But mine keeps constantly asking me if I have a new coil on. It's really annoying. If I put it down for a few minutes, it won't let me take a vape unless I click the + button (or -, makes no difference). One of the YouTube reviewers had the same problem but it apparently went away? Mine is not going away, so I'm not a happy camper.

OK, I think it's asking me if the coil is new because the message is in Chinese...

I didn't pay for it--I won it in a contest so I'm happy. But I don't understand why it would ask me about a new coil If that's what it is asking me. I vape in power mode. Any ideas?

I really do! I can't explain it. There's just something about them that got my attention from the minute they dropped.

Call me strange. You wouldn't be the first. [emoji23]

I wouldn't dream about calling you anything bad, dear! It's a fun mod--mine just has a bad habit of turning itself off and it speaks Chinese only, but not everybody has this problem. It was a gift, so... you know what they say about a gift horse. The mod it really sturdy, light and it works.

If you like it, you may want to investigate further. I'm sure the chip has been improved.
