For those of you using a ego mega battery, how long does it take you to charge it up? I vape one tank, and put it on the supplied 1 amp charger, and it takes about one full day to charge it up. I have two in use, and they are both the same

What's the mAh on those flippers? That's a LONG time to charge pretty much anything, no?

Yes i can see why they last so long for you.
When i have to rebuild its because i distorted the coil when removing the cotton .
Often the cotton is replaced to get that clean refreshing taste.
Beforehand i just pulse the coil to clean only .The coils do not have a chance to get gunked up perhaps because of the 96+ PG DIY e-liquid only the cotton turns dark after a week and quickly replaced after the coil pulsing .

Mine is not the right way only the way that works for how i vape as we all have different formula's in the e-liquid % etc etc.
I've been meaning to ask you. What is the other 4%, flavors? Or distilled water? I've been thinking of trying super high PG.

I retired my Mega Batts after only a few weeks. Don't recall them taking anywhere near that long to charge but I never bothered with the provided chargers either.

They are about 2300 mAh I think, maybe 2600?

Shouldn't take THAT long, even via USB. Try what Foggy Road said - switch chargers. I use the same USBs for EVERYTHING. Got a couple of 1 amps and just hook stuff up to them.

Well Dave...figuratively as well as literally...since my monogram is GEM...

My mother loved choosing names based on resulting monograms...

Her first grandchild's name is Grace Olivia Davis...

(Who would even consider stealing luggage at an airport with GOD on it ???... )

..

Oh THAT is just gooooooooooood! Priceless. Love your Mama, Gerry, yes I do.

DPL, your folks were thinking..... ummmmmmm........;)

(dimple? steeple?)

Mine gave me Katy Ate He. Can't imagine what THEY were thinkin'. ;)

Wise advice. I try to avoid politics and religion when possible. People are so blasted sensitive now-a-days! [emoji12]

DASHERS! "Sensitive"! It's now one of the 31 identifiable genders in New York!

(I kid.... but only about PART of that statement.)

How often have you had to do it? I'm still waiting to do my first - nine months later! :?:

Your coil housing is about to burst, dear one.

But, having nearly said that, I'm WITH you. You chose the same date as moi for the start date of these amazing little beings, the CLRS.

I have NOT recoiled from one, not even once. I rewick them when they scream, "I'm all gunky!", but that's the extent of it.

I'm running many many now, and have yet to be displeased. They ARE my BELOVEDS.

lol i hope you are replacing CLRs instead of on the same coil

Nope nope. No replacements. A bit of a kwick dry burn, a bit of clean up, and a fresh bit of rayone. That's it. Simple, done.

We SHALL make them work for Provis at some point in time, but these little guys just won't give up the ghost!

FANGOI, extraordinaire.~

Thanks, OP! I had a feeling because I did an "eye-check" with some 1.5s I had on hand. It looked like they'd fit without any issues, but I wasn't 100% certain, so this was GREAT to see (you ROCK!).

I ran 1.5 cartos on them for a couple of years, back before Kat konvinced me to move off to tanks. Then came the drip tips. Then, then, then...

Mammamia...(too much STUFF!)

 ya, @Katdarling .

Point being, once the eggies become Provi-friendly, jeez, they'll be tough to look past when I want to use something. That's just me, and I get that, but I'm SOLD (hook, line, sinkah!). :vapor:

  WUB!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahahhahahahahahaha!

If you use 28 gauge you may never have to rebuild another coil. Much harder to mangle when changing wicks.

8 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal on a 2.5 mm mandrel should be around 1.5 Ohms. I use 28 gauge SS316L and there's enough space in the CLR for a slightly spaced, 8 wrap coil. Less gunk build-up with spaced coils, imo.

My new phone has a 1.5 amp charger, think I'll try that next time. Charging after only running 1 tank thru it, shouldn't take the battery down far enough to take all day to charge it back up.

Thanks, Jumpin'. That's exactly what I use, so this is very helpful. I have noticed that my coils seem to last a LONG time with it, so yes - and thank you!

Also what i use 28g kanthal A-1@ 5 to 6 wraps around 1ohm give or take a few tenths.
27G is a tad thick to put into little factory cutout slot located on the metal portion that the insulator
goes over .
Also a factory new insulator has a hard to see line that should correspond with the slot in the metal portion
when rebuilding these coils.
