Got my Charlie's Custard from Giant Vapes, 10% off with "reddit10" and free shipping (even with my single-bottle order), and I gotta say that it tastes wonderful, even FOOB. Not sure it will last until then, but I bet it will be even better after a month's steep!

Be aware, tho, that acetaldehyde is tested at 50.4 ppm (see Wikipedia for acceptable workplace limits). But for that, it would be an ADV for me - even though I generally don't like high VG liquids. Still, I'll probably be keeping a bottle around for occasional use!

Hmm - maybe I'll try mixing it with some strawberry something or other.

Constantly! I vape 15-18mg with no issues at all for me. I run 1.0 ohm coils, between 9.5-11.5 watts.

I use TC as well, and I agree, a lot less gunk than regular Power control. However I vape NETs, and they do tend to cause a very thin layer to build on the SS coils I build. I also DIY non-NET juices, primarily one I make called Peppermint Ice, but I vape that in Myjet stealth pods.

Haha for sure, I'm currently vaping 28 mg nic salts DIY NET juices in an Amor CLR coiled tank, at a 80pg/20vg ratio. However Nic Salts juices have less throat hit that regular nic base. I haven't tried regular nic in my CLR tanks, but I'm sure I could do 18-24 mg regular nic that i used to use in my Nautilus 1.6 and 2.8 ohm coil tanks (Nauty mini, Triton Mini, Kabuki clone). I vape Power control at 10.5 to 11 W (1.0 ohm kanthal CLR coil), 350-400 deg F, 10.5 to 11W on Temp control with a CLR build with 316L SS). MTL tootle puffing :D

Thanks! Maybe that's the ticket then. Evic VTwo mini express (or whatever), maybe a couple of Ego VTwo Megas, 1.0 Kanthal CLRs. He's seen me with Evic Minis. Let him use iStick and Mini Pro Tank 2 in the interim. We can address SS rebuilds later.

@David Wolf : BTW, what's your SS build and in which CLR?
I think the CLR 1.0 ohm Kanthal coils are excellent, I only started using 316L SS for temperature control. I build mine so far to the same basic parameters as the Kanthal 1.0 coil in a 1.0 CLR housing, 6 wraps spaced 2.5 mm diameter 316L comes out at 0.60 to 0.62 ohms. Vape at 350-400 deg F, 11W with a Pico M1 setting of 80 for the TCR. The Pico SS setting gives me actual temperatures 50 deg higher than my setting so i don't use that I set my own in the M1.
Anyone new to these wanting trouble free MTL vaping should really start on CLR 1.0 Kanthal power control at 10-11 watts and not get involved with TC intricacies and nuances for a while haha.

I liked Charlie's custard too. I loved clockwerks custard from vaping.watch, wrote and asked about if they had tested and never heard back. I'm not scared to vape it though.

I've been looking to try a good Custard.. saw some good reviews on CN custard. Have you tried the Vape Dojo Custard? It's $20 for 100ml (Vape Dojo) compared to the Charlies Custard for 60ml for $20

Hey Cosmic, I've never tried the Vape Dojo, that is a good price. I'm opposite of most folks on my ratios (like most were back in the day lol), I vape 80pg/20vg, so its strictly DIY for me for the most part. I've got several custard recipe ingredients but I have yet to take the time to mix some custard recipes to try, maybe soon this talk has me missing custards :D

Quick question: do any of you use 12mg or more in your CLR compatible tanks? Could be my build, but my throat couldn't hack it.

Constantly! I vape 15-18mg with no issues at all for me. I run 1.0 ohm coils, between 9.5-11.5 watts.

I'm fairly well set at 15mg these days, Jumpin. Like DPL, I can do 18 occasionally as well.

As far as your throat is concerned, the PG/VG might answer that dilemma. I use pretty high PG (65ish), but I have no prob at all with throat issues.

And you?

I've been pretty consistently using 50/50 PG/VG (or something close) over the years. I guess somewhere in my move from 12 to 6 mg I lost my "taste" for throat hit. Now, when I vape 12 mg I find the throat hit unpleasantly strong. Couldn't take it in my CLR tanks - at least with the build I'm using - so I was hesitant to recommend the tanks for a 1-1.5 pack/day smoker.

The knowledge that you guys 'n gals use the stock 1.0 coils with higher nic juices goes a long way toward easing my concerns.

Btw, higher VG liquids generally produce less flavor and throat hit, correct?

Thanks, all! :)

I was wondering about that too. I get the impression that Charlie Noble and Vape Dojo are affiliated in some way, so the custards may be similar in taste. Obvious differences are that the VD custard come in plastic bottles and don't appear to have been subjected to third party testing. The PG/VG ratios are slightly different too.

Personally, I'll stick with the known.

FYI, Ahlusion does 70/30 PG/VG mixes on all their liquids.

Ten Buck Juice is also another line that I'm interested in trying. Also made by the same people as Charlie Nobel. All 3 are having the 25% off sale. Originally $10 for 50 ml. The price is almost too good to be true. Looks like some thought was put into the juice line. It's not just your standard juice combos that most companies have.

Had to get the evic VTC mini with ego one mega tank in white!

Only one mega tank in white left in all of AU, and it is $30 just for the tank... So i just refused to buy it.. Wanted a white tank for ages for white mods.. this is a lovely tank especially with the CLR or new proCL coils!

So i got the tank with mod kit from health cabin for $20.. Now get this.. It's also now an 80 watt mod, not 60, and they JUST updated the firmware again(i put it on last night).. This is actually a fantastic little single 18650 mod, even with SS TC now! It basically performs identically to any other JT mod.. I am quite impressed with joyetech SS TC.. :)

(PS firmware update is what makes 80 watts).
Thanks Vesh and @ceeceeisme!
I just bought 2 Evic VTC Minis (1 black, 1 white) with Ego One Mega Tanks, 2 silicone sleeves for them,
$42.38 - $8.48 (discount code hc0704), - $4.28 (first order discount) = $29.66 total, free shipping!
Pretty incredible deals!
I am going to put Artic Fox firmware on them, aleady have it running beautifully acceptably (a lot to learn yet) on one of my Pico's :D

The 'Burgh, PA.
I have a life time supply of STM's, but am tempted to try this one. Especially at that price.

For those that have both, how do they compare?

Well Rickb...as a confirmed MTL vaper...I've never been attracted to the STM...

But...I can say that after trying my first eGo ONE Mega V2 Tank (with the CLR)...I replaced all my Nautiluses, GS Airs and Cubis Pros with 'em...:headbang:

For me they're pretty equal performance wise. A tad more airflow from the eGo but that may be dependant on your build size in the tiny coil. I do prefer the CLR because I don't have to trap the wire under screws.
I've got my supply of eGo V1 tanks. Now working on adding more STMs. STMs and parts are a lot easier to find and cheaper if y'all like Bellcaps and just buy the bases on clearance.

I too am a confirmed MTL vaper but with praise like that, I may have to get a few "eggrolls". ;)

The only thing I don't like about the STM is that it tends to leak (sometimes) when going from one side of the continental divide to the other (from 5000' to just under 11,000' and back down again). It would be nice to have a tank that didn't do that.

Where is OP (@pufZeppelin)? Wasn't he more of an STM fan before becoming more of a CLR tank fan? (Think he still likes both...)

Wouldn't ALL vacuum-based tanks tend to leak during an ascent of that magnitude? A genesis-styled tank like the Avocado might be better suited for that particular situation, but those are best kept upright at all times.

Have you tried keep your rig upside down when you're not vaping it (during the ascent)? You might still get a little "seepage" from the drip-tip, tho, so keep it on a tissue or something.

Are you getting a lot of seepage during the descent? I don't think you should...
