I can wear-out a battery and several ML of ejuice
listening to these guys on my new sound system... :p
Christmas present? I've dreamed, and even researched, about going back to a full system with turntable and joining the vinyl revival. But, I was a bit shocked at the price tags I was seeing, and, while vinyl has enjoyed a bit of a renaissance, the selection is not that great.

So, I decided I can be happy just living vicariously through folks like you and other grownups.

Hey y'all...got a question on coil builds. I'm trying to build a 1.0 coil on the CLR. My vape tool tells me at 26 ga, 2.5 dia, 8 wraps, I can get to 1.0 ohm.
8 wraps seems like a lot but I've done it. When I fire it up I get a reading of .96...close enough, but it quickly drops to .75 and stays there. Done this a couple of times.

Now, I haven't had this happen when building a coil at .5 or .6 ohm on the CLR. Too many wraps? Will 24 ga. work with the CLR to get me to 1.0 ohm or is that too thick for the CLR?

What is everyone doing to get to 1.0 ohm on the CLR?

I also have a question. @Baditude - I've seen you comment many times on your love of the coils for the Crown tank. Have you used the CLRs, by chance? Would love a contrast and compare. :)

Don't even think about it. o_O

No I have not. :)

Lie to her, Bad. Tell her that you must have been mistaken, and that they're really terrible (now that you think about it).

I finally convinced her that we've multiple lifetimes worth of CLR coils, so we can STOP BUYING SHEETS, and now something new is tickling her fancy. I can see it transpiring already. Ohmammamia ...

View attachment 710091, Yes you can use SS wire in both Wattage or TEMP CONTROL modes
:) I think what we are dancing around here is that the ProCL SS coil is Joyetechs first for the all mighty eGo ONE
now eGo ONE users can BUY a drop in SS coil that is somewhat restricted air flow (MTL) that choose not to build the CLR style coils, and use it W or TC... :thumb:

this is darn good quality so crank-it up !

Sometime in the 1970s Yes came to Chicago several of us had 2nd row seats right in middle of stage. At the time i did not know it was going to be for one of their live albums.
We were having such a good time back then at the end of one of there songs i do not recall which as things are quite fogy from that decade i screamed "Party".
Hey i was a young !

Few years later at one of those friends house he said " hey listen to this" and there it was "party" to my surprise. Faintly heard but there.Just cannot recall album or song played as have lost contact with those guys .
Thanks for the memories Puff.

It would have to be the triple set live album, Yessongs which was recorded in '72 in multiple places (I'll listen real close for ya:laugh:). I was a huge fan of them. I used to see them every year, up until the early Eightys.:)

Okay, so my husband fixed my radius (for a minute there, both the tank and mod were going "OP" or whatever warning it is they display and I was Freaking Out) but my tank for my CLR coils is toast. The one I had was the Wismec version and I liked how it vaped (other than capacity) but I did not enjoy my Mega Ego one experience.... I'll have to take a look at that list again, but I'm searching for something that takes those coils with over 2 ml capacity but still very MTL-gy, if anyone wants to take a stab at a recommendation.

Poor dude even straightened out the threading with an exacto knife, since he didn't want to have to get a 510 pin to replace it. I'm sure we could, but I have a feeling I can do better on the tank in any case. So if anyone has input, great. If not I will be poring over Kat's LENGTHY list, which I saved, LOL. But, I'm open to opinions.... :)

Sorry Anna, I don't think I'd be much help to you. I use nothing but rebuilt CLR's on EgoOne Mega's and never really had a problem with them. I'm not fully understanding the problem you're having with them. :(

ahhhhh-yes
such a great and unique band
they (for me) also bring back many, many memories... :toast:

then in April they were inducted into the R-n-R HOF by "Rush"...
due to the passing of Chris Squire; Geddy Lee filled in & played bass for their HOF concert

Jon Anderson & Geddy Lee -- talk about two similar and odd rock-n-roll voices (both of which gave many hours of enjoyment to me)

I think I like ALL Yes songs , but this one stands out to me as the one, that I vape to the most... :D

I love the Ego One tanks, but that was not always the case. When I first got one, I tried it with the coil that came with it and didn't like it at all. In fact, I stashed it after two tank fulls and didn't touch it for a few months. That's when I came across this thread that @pufZeppelin created praising the 1.0 CLR coil. I bought a pack and fell in love. I now have about 20 tanks that use the CLR, mostly Ego Ones of various sizes along with a few of the Amors (probably that Wismec tank you mentioned).

While I do like all sizes of the Ego One, my favories are the 4ml Ego One Megas. Version 1 has a caged look while Version 2 has a glass opening to view juice levels. Both work equally well for me along with the Tron 4ml tanks.

I have several of the Egos going at any point in time and have now rebuilt a few of the 1.0 CLR coils. Easy to do. The best thing is the ease with which you can re-wick them, and that allows each coil to last a very long time.

I hope you find your sweet spot for the CLRs. It has been the most important find in my vaping story.

I had an ego one mega and I didn't dislike the vape, but it whistled and I couldn't get it to stop and it drove the husband crazy. I wound up giving it away.

I had another tank that took the CLR coils and I love the coils, but I managed to kill it off and while I could replace the 510 pin (it's unfixable) it was a pretty small capacity (like 1.7 ml) and I was refilling constantly, so I figured (since I just bought a bunch of the coils) that I would try something different, with larger capacity... @Sugar_and_Spice, I will check out the Tron S.

I'm not having a problem, just looking for any pointers as to a nice MTL tank that takes those coils and has maybe larger capacity (but I'd be worried about getting another ego one mega).

Hope that clarifies, sorry.

Anna
