I will say I love these tanks and have never had whistling either.

WOW...S_a_S...just noticed your banner...$25,707 saved in 7+ years...

Even if you spent $500/year for the first 2 years to get started...then $300/year for "e-cig stuff" after that...$2,500 TOTAL...you'd still be ahead (at least) $23,207...:headbang:

[I say "at least" because I'm pretty certain that what analogs cost today in your area...if you were still a smoker...is considerably more than what they cost 7+ years ago when you used their price for your banner.]

Yes, you are correct. Back in 2010, I was driving down to Winchester,Va to pick up smokes for the month(70 mile rt) since VA is cheaper than here. A pack was around $3.50 ish or so. I was a heavy smoker. I can't image how I would afford to smoke cigarettes these days. Prolly would have ended up front page news and it would not have been pretty. LOL

Yeah, the banner says $25,+, too bad my bank account does not. But then I am not counting the new car I had to buy either. Guess it all equalled out.

Well...I'm thinkin'...the $25,707 you've saved had to have "lowered" the price of the new car...

..
Well, yeah. Considering I traded in a subaru they gave $14,000 trade allowance on, so technically I got a $50,000 dollar Nissan. Sooo, too much time on your hands? LOL Or you are a car salesman?
just kidding.......maybe

Actually...I've never bought a new car in my whole life...

[However...my 97 year old DAD buys a new car every 1-2 years...then I buy his 1-2 year old car from him at "Blue Book" price...]

I sell it to my 46 year son...(Blue Book)...

Then he sells his to his 22 year daughter...(Blue Book)...

[I guess it's some sort of "Reverse Pyramid Scheme".]

Then his daughter sells her car to whomever she wants...and keeps the money...(since she's on the lowest rung of our "economic ladder")...

I just came across this thread from the Sinuous P80 one. I have a bronze P80 incoming, and was thinking of paring with an orange tank. Given this thread is 444 pages long, may I ask members' indulgence to answer a few questions so I dont have to spend 3 days going through the 444 pages LOL

  1. I have seen videos on rewicking which seems pretty straight forward. What cotton would folks suggest? I like to vape at 0.5 ohms and a lowly 30 watts.
  2. It seems I can also rebuild the coil on these. Any particular size and type of wire folks can suggest? I vape in wattage mode, but am open minded. Taste over clouds!
Thanks so much, sorry if Im asking questions all over again!

Assume you are talking about the CLR coils.

Yes rewicking the clr is very easy. Just screw off the top cap on the coil, remove old wick, lightly burn off coil and rewick with cotton or rayon. screw top back on clr coil.

Depends on what wire type you use what gauge. SS is really in my opinion better tasting and easy to work with. AWG 28 SS316l with 2.5 mm core with 6 wraps will give you around .5 ohm. Fits nicely in the CLR.

The CLR coils are rebuildable the other regular coils are not though.

Just one additional content on your question about what kind of cotton. I have used every type from cheap organic drug store cotton balls, cheap organic drug store cotton pads to expensive Japanese organic and didn't notice any difference in them.

Cellucotton rayon does last longer and adds no taste of its own to the vape.

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

Drop, feel free to ask, and keep asking! No way anyone can get thru this entire thread for answers at this point.

1. I'm in agreement with Beam. Whatever cotton or rayon suits your fancy (I'm partial to rayon but I do use cottone as well at times. It's a mood thing.).

2. With such an easy to rebuild coil set up, you prolly can't go wrong with SS or Kanthal. Here's a vid (if you haven't yet seen it) from one of our own ECF'ers, Shawn Hoefer:

Thanks for the link....but being a noob I have no clue whatsoever what wire to get. I currently vape at 0.5 ohms, 30 watts.
It's actually preference but I have been happy using 'SS316L 28 gauge' lately. 6 wraps should give you around .5 ohms.
