Never used TC before, but the idea was to try with these SS coils. Looks like I'll have to build since I dont think spaced coils are available pre-built, are they?

Not normally but you can probably make them spaced. Put them on a rod and stretch them a little to space.

Empathetic sympathies, PufferZ. :(

My very first year of vaping - I was partying for my Jan. 13 birthday with a slew of friends, in a bar. We were invited to another house party post bar, and welp, before leaving, I had to use the loo.

A few vodkas in, and trying to maintain some balance over the porcelain, I put my mod up on something. I was SO new and so welp, "having fun".

I got to the house party, and immediately checked my purse for my ONE AND ONLY MOD. EEEEEEEEEK. No where to be found.

Yes, we had to go back to the bar and check the lady-like room to find it.

Thank goodness, there it sat!!!!!!!

That was the day (immortalized) that I decided to never leave the house without a MINIMUM of 3 mods. Still to this day, nearly 7 years later.

I hope she rediscovers it, hon!

I offer you my sympathies. I hope it wasn't anything real expensive.

not the money as much as I'll miss the classic gear - those vintage stainless v1 4ml tanks aren't flooding the market... ;)

Yeah, I am so stocked up on these. Healthcabin's sale last summer helped with that. Plus @Dieseler helped when I wanted to buy these in bulk from FT. IIRC if you want to buy more than 20 packs FT offers an additional discount. Put in a ticket asking about buying in bulk and Neil from FT will be in touch with you and tell you how to do that. Its been a while since I did that so am relying on memory only:facepalm:
20 or more? Or more than 20? 20 would be $142.60 with the discount already given. 25/$178.25. So, even with an added bulk discount, that's a lot of money to lay down at once. Of course, it is a lifetime supply.

I'll have to contact Neil when I get my income tax refund.

That brings to mind the time, when my daughter was a little girl, she did the same thing with her hat (that she loved dearly). It still hurts my heart a little when I think of it.

I have lost things before and had things stolen. But, it's always more heartbreaking when it happens to your children.

Just don't let the *wife-unit* use that as an excuse to give up!

As I always say: "Women...can't live with 'em......................................."

(That would be A LOT funnier if I hadn't been living with the same fascinating woman for the past 30-35 years.) (She MAY be "The One"...)

20 packs of clr's may sound like a lot to some just make sure thats what you will be vaping for a long time since newer stuff comes out all the time.
Personally being somewhat up in age thats it for the Mrs and i - CLR'S.
Once in a while i vape the mm vapor DID20 genny wrapping 500 ss mesh coil.

When i do rebuild which is not so often since the Mrs and i have so many many more than 20 packs and we just re wick them mostly but do like to break out the coil master to rewind to kep me sharp. ; )
Simple ole us do 2.5mm kanthal wire with organic cotton not stuffed to the gills anything bigger the draw on it gets somewhat tighter as the airflow gets constricted somewhat .
So we are happy campers for sometime now heck its 7 years since stinky's.

I'm guessin' that the "being somewhat up in age" is somewhat related to the "7 years since stinky's"

Interesting???

At least a year ago I got 4 eGo ONE Mega V2 Tanks...(I like to frequently switch tanks with different flavors)...

ALL of them leak (occasionally) from the AFC...and about half my Mods give me the "No Atomizer" Warning with them...

(This is despite trying ALL the wonderful suggestions from the incredibly smart posters here...when I'd come here to whine...)

Last October...when HG was basically "giving them away"...I got 4 Tron-S's...

With ALL 4 of the Tron-S's being in my rotation for the past 3 months...NONE of them has leaked...and they fit ALL my Mods with NO Warning Messages...

(ALL 8 are using CLR 1.0ohm coils and the same % PG/VG e-juices...)

Whel'p I guess I know what to do if my Ego one mega takes a dump. I've already had one CLR taking tank die (it was the small 1.7 Wismec one... I loved the drip tip, mainly...)

Oooh I should switch them out!

Ooh.... much better. Thanks for the whine @gerrymi :) I will also keep an eye out for leaks.

Honestly, I've made everything leak for one of the following reasons in order of occurrence...
A) Letting a tank full of liquid sit around for a long time. I'm pretty sure ALL tanks that are left unused and full of liquid will leak eventually - the only question is when. Some will leak after 2 days, some after 2 months.

The nice thing about the Ego One's (& kanger aerotanks) is they will just seep a little instead dumping by the ounce.

B) Bad wicking
C) Something got askew after dropping it that is undetectable to the human eye
D) overfilling (Tron issue big time)
E) Topfilling without going thru the dance
F) Blame the manufacturer

Even as careful as I am building my CLR coils they CAN still leak. But I really only have this issue when I let them sit for a long period of time - a week w/o use or longer. I have taken to storing the filled tanks upside down when not in constant use-
