I've only bought 0.5 ohm coils.

Since you don't even have your gear yet, why not just wait until you use it to see what you may like to buy to maintain it. Remember, vaping is not a one size fits all. So I say slow down a smidge and enjoy your gear when it comes.

I, personally...because of ineptness (and laziness)...use a CLR from the blister pack...then after 4-5 weeks...throw it into a baggie to rewick "later"...

The price on FT goes down to $7.13/5-pack when you buy 5...

(And I never forget...if I hadn't run across ECF...[I LOVED smoking]...at today's prices I'd be paying at least $12/day for analogs...without even thinking twice about it...)

Yeah, I am so stocked up on these. Healthcabin's sale last summer helped with that. Plus @Dieseler helped when I wanted to buy these in bulk from FT. IIRC if you want to buy more than 20 packs FT offers an additional discount. Put in a ticket asking about buying in bulk and Neil from FT will be in touch with you and tell you how to do that. Its been a while since I did that so am relying on memory only

My ego one mega V2 tank arrived and I am out of the 1.0 coils (ordered some a day later....) I'm trying to work up the courage to rewick one of my spent coils, I know it's supposedly very easy but... the later it gets. Cannot wait to put that thing with the correct coil back on my radius and enjoy the Best Vape. I actually like the looks of the V2 but even if I wait another day, I'm super psyched. LOL.

Sugar_and_Spice, I dub you the Ego One Mega empress... Can't wait to be back vaping and thank you for your help. I will report back either way, rest assured

Oh Anna, just do it. LOL. you will come back and LOL when you do. Pulse one of the used coils to get it clean(not much needed since they are so small) and I know you know how to wick........so........

Okay. I'm doing yoga first (if my stupid elbow allows it... I injured one of my tendons somehow, had to QUIT yesterday and I am NOT a quitter, LOL. Been zapping it with the tens unit have to see how it holds up). BUT, either way I will grab a spent coil and do it later this afternoon. The tank I have on my radius currently is a good tank, but in no way worthy of being on the radius, LOL.

I thought Kat was the queen? Is she the empress too? LOL, I suppose it's same difference, really, but TY Sugar_and_Spice

Well, the bad news is... my elbow is TOAST. Man, I'm antsy, I can't remember the last time I went without my endorphin rush for this long!!!! But, I HAVE to rest it, and I have no clue what I did but it's Very Annoying and if it keeps up I will not be happy.

No pain== no endorphiny mindful meditative time, in my book. I want to still be doing yoga when I'm 90, and my doc informs me I probably can based on some weird labwork he did to determine my "risk of arthritis." But this just sucks.

The good news is I successfully dry burned and rewicked a coil! The Ego one Mega is back on my radius and I think it's actually even cloudier than an original coil, but I trimmed pretty far. I kind of also felt like the new Ego One Mega is pretty small for how much juice it holds, but it does.... I would take a pic, but I'm tired. But, YAY. Also no whistling and I really like the tank.

(For example...today...it was only AFTER I saw the news about the California mud slides and thought about it...that I then felt bad for the people who died...)

So...instead of upsetting yourself over not being able to do yoga for a couple days...you could think to yourself..."WOW!! I can SEE, I can HEAR, I can MOVE my arms and legs, I've given up my nasty unhealthy smoking habit, I'm warm, I'm not starving, etc.etc.etc...ain't life GREAT"...

I've built some coils at 10 wraps just to see if they would fit inside the little CLR body (they did)
but the 8 wrap is about as big as I think is safe (no touch)
that is with 28g wire...

but what I build most often, just off the top of my head is: SS-28g-7wrap , either 2.5mm or 3.0mm ID...

biggest surface area is where you get the most flavor IMO

so a 28g stainless steel coil @ .8Ω with a big 3mm ID and a large chunk of rayon inside
and a Surface Area of 92mm all tucked inside the CLR body and a 3.5mm air hole center pin

May I ask a couple of questions:

1. What app are you using to get those details?
2. Are the legs for CLR 11mm or 5mm usually?

Treat these as an example, it was the closest I could find atm... but you will have plenty of time to look after you receive yours. Just make sure the legs are long enough.

Probably work but somewhat small. AWG 26 ss316l with from the picture 7 wraps. 13 to 14 mm legs. Once cut you are probably going to get around .4 ohm on those.

Does width matter?

Not in the calculating the core diameter. The width will have to fit in the CLR case and at 4 mm that definitely will fit. Not sure offhand what the overall width of the clr coil is but 4 mm width will definitely fit without touching edges.

From the picture those are contact coils and not spaced. They will work fine in Power mode but probably not going to work well if at all in temperature control if that is what you want.

Never used TC before, but the idea was to try with these SS coils. Looks like I'll have to build since I dont think spaced coils are available pre-built, are they?
