Ordered 2 of the black Mega VTs from Directvapor. Now I have 4 Megas. Can't use the TC coils til I get a TC mod but I've got some CLRs on the slow boat from China.
Cool! As far as the mod. I'm really liking the Eleaf Pico's. Nice and small and they do the job. Evic mini's and Heatvape Defenders are good too. Just a couple of suggestions since there is a thousand out there to pick from. :)

I've got plenty of mods, none have TC.

I've been looking at the Pico but I just can't justify buying one.

I came close last weekend though. I had one in the cart but backed out. The price almost got me. $30.50 + $5 shipping for the full kit after the coupon code VS5OFF. They have the full black and brushed silver for the same price. It is a Chinese vendor. Eleaf iStick Pico Kit 32USD in VapeSourcing | VapeSourcing

I had an ego one 2.5ml for a while..shelved due to leaking..

I had read a post quite a while ago about using a CLR coil with the ego-one base in a GS-air Ms or M.. I ordered some CLR's from my china source (Fasttech) and well waited..

I tried them but it leaked on the second fill-up.. giving me the idea that the problem was with the o-ring on the ego-one base.

I changed out the o-ring with a slightly smaller one and having removed the top of the CLR coil, I replaced that with a protank coil cup.

So it works and it works well.. in the GS-air MS that I tested. The air flow is a little less on full open but the vapor and flavour is very good. No leaks at all.

I will eventually use it again with the ego-one tank when my new tanks come in that I ordered.

This is the tank I have..

I did not like that I had to squint to see the juice.. both are the 2.5ml version.

BTW I blame @IMRs and @Cheechako for making me take it out of the scrap box I threw it in.. But the vape turned out worth it .. Thanks for that.. :)

Would you be able to post pics of this Frankentank?

•yes, very close but not touching inside body
•coils are tight but not touching each other
•looking at it, could fit 11 wraps of 28g @ 3mm ID (I think)

in TC runnin 25w/300° it heats, OK

but at like straight watts (12w) it seems too much metal and I don't care for the vape

6wraps/3mm/11w seems more my speed most of the time

Yes it did.. I became interested in the CLR's after reading about how versatile it was as a rebuild-able atty in this thread and the Gs-Air thread. I was not disappointed..

well then, what's the common phrase blurted out when opening the vapemail...?

wow, can't believe it's so small (you know what I mean Cheech)

so I got my ego one V2 in mail today (19mm x 2ml)
promptly opened it, inspected it, washed it

then I built a coil just for it (29g K/6x around 2.5mm=1.44Ω)

it sure seemed tiny but same size as my 1.8ml x 19mm original eGo ONE tank ('cause of the glass ?)
but it stops there, the bases DON'T cross screw into each other; so new is diff than old o_O

put 2.01 ml in syringe, drop some on wick, rest fit into tank no problem...
drip tip is plastic, large all the way thru (no taper) I like it

kinda tricked me, air flow is the 'hidden' type found on others BUT just the notch is out
so with a sharp eye one can look IN and see the position (a little, sorta)
but at least the air flow isn't directed into the users face if you had a mind to blow into it...
thinkin MAYBE the V2 has a bit more airflow...

so I guess I like it and it is a contender to earn a spot in my vape kingdom ;)
now should I get a 4ml version....

just sitting here 'breaking it in' and it vapes great
Charlie Noble had a sale, so I got some Tripoli in tank and it is tasting wonderful

bonus observation: the old coil bodys have a notch to set your wire in while building
newer ones have the notch on BOTH sides (I have both)

correction - seems the drip tip is some sort of metal (black)
