Just got my hands the 2 Ego One Mega V1 tanks that were gifted to me. Perfect fit and look for my tiny Vamo boxes. Came with the .5 CLR coils. My first venture into sub territory. Nice vape @ 18.5 watts. Only noticeable difference from my usual 1.2 range is a tad warmer and half the pull time. I'll be ordering a 5 pack of the 1.0 CLRs so I can mix and match the different size positive pin airflows. Also came with 2 Ti .4 and 1 Ni .2 coils. While I do have a TC capable mod it's never even had a battery in it. Maybe I'll Play around a see if the TC coils can be rebuilt into something I'll actually use.

My stock up buying has slowed to a trickle lately, but had a lapse in control and pulled the trigger on 5 ego one megas (V1) at Fasttech.
Sometimes this love affair with the CLRs gets the better of me.

hey now - that's good to hear

haha
, the CLR / ego one has had its way with me

ya just can't control some things...

don't sell youself or TEMP CONTROL short

give it a try
set TC watts about 25w - then Temp to 200°
see how it works, then as normal ; climb the temp scale, 210°, 250°, 300° etc.

(which device ya got for TC?)

ya can't hurt nuttin' , might just work out cool... :thumb: :headbang: :pop:

I hear ya, Puf. And that's exactly why I'm hanging on to that one device. The mood or the interest just hasn't struck me yet. The device is a Smok R-Steam Mini 60 (or 80?) watt TC box mod. I won a $100 store credit a site that had absolutely nothing of interest to me as I discovered after the fact. Mostly their own name (re)brand(ed) stuff with a few odds and ends tossed in. So I kinda eeny meeny minee moed my way thru the site and ended up with the R-Steam Mini and battery, Cubis Tank (still untouched) some juice and a drip tip. The drip tip was worth the $100, never imagined one could make such a difference!

So the Smok will be there if I ever get to it. But I'm a 'one thing at time' type person. Just came off a 6-8 week total fascination with the iCare. Semi-Fail. Now I've got the Megas. Perfect fit and look for my Vamo boxes. Got a whole lotta playin with the CLRs ahead.

Also won an Ego AIO Box that I'm looking forward to. Should be in the capable(?) hands of Swiss Air any time Now.

So da Smok got bumped to the bottom of the list again. One thing at a time. TC will always be there, just has no pressing interest for me. Someday?

I go through " phases " where I CAN'T BUILD CRAP !

can't explain it, it just happens (for me)

then I buckle down, hold my mouth different and it all comes together... sometimes o_O

I know the days when its not gonna work for me and I just 'move on' till tomorrow

but for the most part, I have my way of doing a build, and can do it with my eyes closed EZ-PZ

There's Always Tomorrow

I found my sweet spot when I started winding my coils on a #6-32 machine screw. Five wraps of 30 Kanthal puts me in the 1.65 - 1.67 range every time. I know some don't like Kanthal, but it works fine for me. The machine screw gave me some consistency. My contact coils were always a crapshoot, what I'd end up with.

If anyone is looking for Ego One, Ego One V2, or Tron S tanks, Litecigusa has some on sale right now. There is also a coupon code BLACK15 for 15% off that was still working today. I ordered a couple red Tron S tanks that came to just over $20 with free shipping.
