Hey Foggy Road, do you mean this red mega?
http://www.vaporbeast.com/media/cat...5d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/g/r/group1-copy-copy.jpg

If so and you ever decide to sell, give me dibs. I seriously want a cherry red tank and have yet to find one locally.
it's gorgeous. Much nicer looking than the V2.

besides the massive juice window, does anyone know what else the V2 offers?

I also have a tron-T that was on sale during one of the crazy Xmas heaven gift sales, i think it was like 5 bucks.. It can use the CL coils.. does anyone know if the ego one V2 tank came after or before the tron? If before, there's likely no improvements to the tron anyway.

No the Red and Cyan are both Tron-S tanks by themselves. Not my first choice but at that price I woulda snagged a couple black or grey if they had them.
Then I saw the VT kits with Megas in black only and grabbed a couple.

Never dealt with this vendor before but they are a registered supplier FWIW.

Ok so it seems everyone here is kinda down on the CL coils, How about the factory TC coils? Worth bothering with? I have a couple now and more on they way now with 2 VT Kits.

those VT batteries are kinda cool, sure getting a lot out of an ego stick ;)
they don't do SS , only Ni & Ti (was after their release)
but say a .95Ω SS on low Ti might work OK (guessin it has to be UNDER 1.0Ω for TC)

the CL coils (to ME) just aren't getting it done, BUT They Work
just not as good as the CLR - IMO (but ask Rayon Lady) :D
it's the design
very tight packed cotton and they have small juice holes to let the juice in AND Vertical
where the CLR have big juice holes and are of course Horizontal (though the stock ones are packed tight also)

but what the heck, use them till they croak and swipe the cool 'big hole' center pin and keep them for parts :thumb:

I bet you'll like it, stealthy compact 2300mah baby...

Darn good price.. I found the racing yellow mega including two temp coils for $19.99 locally, AUD so 15 USD, and one of the coils was dead so he sent me four titanium replacements. And now he's put the megas up to 29.99. I guess I was lucky. What's cool is you can use any of the ego one coil range in any ego one tank. I believe the V2 tanks can take all the exact same coils? Red is HOT.. do you mean the cherry red? joyetech has the nicest red around.
And so does the Tron and Tron-S AFAIK

yeah i got the Tron T cheers.. little did I realise the viewing window is at the top, literally! I should have gotten the standard in hindsight.. You just gotta keep an eye out for crazy sales on "old" stock.. there's always a bargain to be had. I haven't used the tron yet, it's the gold one, it looks kind cool I guess. Might try it on a black mod later today. My total bad, i forgot about that tank till just before.. So it would be ego one mini, standard and mega tanks, ego one 2 standard and mega, and tron series that take the CL coils. that would pretty much cover it yes? Oh and the egrip 30 watt! I forgot about that.

Oh I'm sure I'll get use outta the mods but at that price I woulda snagged the 2 black Mega V1s by themselves.

By the way, I saw a tip on rip trippers just a couple hours ago to literally flood the CL coils with priming juice before you use them, and then blow through the coil to get all the excess out, THEN install it into the filled tank.
I have never tried this, i only ever followed joyetech instructions of 2 or 3 drops, and then letting soak for 10 minutes in tank.. always had gurgles every time, and dry hits occasionally. Saturating coil then blowing through it before screwing into base, might really do the trick! Oh, and the pure cotton CL heads are a bit better than the original ones. I have only one pack of those, so am saving till last, along with CLR's which are also cotton.

this is how the eGo ONE tanks were released :)

  • ego one (standard & XL) 19mm
  • then Mega & Mini 22mm & 16mm
  • Trons (S & T)
  • then followed by the v2 tanks

and BONUS: the TRON "T" comes apart completely :D

way cool... !

yepper, didn't use the CL coils much before I latched onto the CLR, but it's pretty plain they need a good soaking to get started... boy do they

Ok so the V2 was indeed after the Tron, thanks for clarifying pufZeppelin.
Have you tried the Ego one V2 by any chance?

if you mean the v2 TANK - yes

but not the v2 system (tank and stick battery)

I like and think all the eGo ONE tanks vape pretty close to the same
I just worry about the glass breakage of the v2 with less protection
I don't have much trouble seeing my juice level in the v1 even if it is a bit more obscured
but it is nice to easy-view the open v2... :)

Just finally made my 1st SS CLR. 28g, 317L, 7/6, 2.65ID, .74ohm, Rayon. First time wrappin on a screw, sure makes a purdy coil. Cookin well. Still looking for da sweet spot. Might as well wrap a couple more while I vape my brain cell into oblivion.

Ok so basically it vapes the same.. yeah all i cared about was tank, would have put it on a V1 battery/ after all it's the same coil, same power requirements.

Careful with that brain cell. Mine rolled under the table one time, and it took a long time to find it.

Jumped right in there with you @Foggy Road. Got two VT kits (with the eGo One Mega tanks) and a red Tron ordered. It was $38.97 including shipping. Insanely good price. Thanks for the tip.
Glad to hear I didn't take the last 2.☺

Just getting ready to do my 3rd coil and noticed for the first time that there's an actual notch cut into the bottom of the coil body for the ground wire! Good thinking Joyetech!

I noticed that too, how considerate of them. They actually thought this one out!
