I am still getting great flavor from my first CLR coil two or three weeks after installing it. I'm impressed, and this coil still has the original, factory wicking! I hear it will be even better once I rewick it.

Quick question for you expert CLR vapers, please.

I know the CLR coils come in Nickle and Titanium, but can you rebuild the coil with SS and use it for temp control vaping?

Absotootley! As long as your mod can do SS.

So, do you use the nickle CLRs for temp control vaping?

This is bizarre. Just to muddy the waters some more, my Presa tc75, purchased last summer from a different vendor, came with
v 1.02 and has a ss setting. So sue me.

I'm right there with ya, puf. I can't stand nickel either. Has a metallic taste to me

I don't understand. When using the Ego One tank, what coils do you use for temp control? I assumed one would just rebuild the Nickle or Titanium CLRs with SS for temp control.

:confused::confused:
kinda confused here...

ALL the CL/CLR bodys are made of the same material
inside each is either Kanthal, Nickel, or Titanium wire

CL coils are Vertical and have ALL THREE metals (Ni,Ti,K)
CLR coils are Horizontal and ONLY come in TWO metals (Ti or Kanthal)

BEFORE SS was an option I used Ti for TEMP CONTROL
then when SS came out and devices offered a setting for SS I started using SS for TEMP CONTROL

now I ONLY USE SS to wrap my coils, in which it allows me to EITHER set Mode to TEMP CONTROL or WATTS (SS wire does either)
I remove old wire (whatever was inside the CLR) and rebuild with SS wire

hope that answers your "Q" ... :) :)

Those Nickle coils are not CLRs. They are CLs. CLRs do not come with the tanks or kits. AFAIK CLRs must be ordered seperately.

Yes, I think. So when you are using your EGO One tank and want to do temp control, you use any one of the CLR coils (kanthal, Ni or Ti), but first you build and install a coil made of SS in the CLR coil?
