Probably a dumb question but did you charge it? Mine just flash when the batt is dead.

Not a dumb question, sometimes we forget the simplest things. But I thought the same thing too and charged it but still a no go.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe someone else who bought just for the tank will donate ya a good one? Saw a couple folks mention they had no use for 'em?

Have you got them set in VW mode? Another dumb question (I know but I thought I would just check). I bought 2 of those full kits and mine are working perfectly.

I'll give that a go as soon as our early Easter egg hunt is done![emoji4]

Well, I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. The vodka bath on the stock CL coils did improve the taste. Of course they're not as good as the CLRs, but it's nice to get a little use out of them before they're scrapped for parts

I always give my stock coils an overnight vodka bath when they start not behaving themselves which is usually when they are about two weeks old. Then I get another good week or more out of them with flavor as good as when they are first installed.

Yes! Joyetech produces such a clear and concise manual  (not!)

I'm thinking it's in Ni or Ti mode - I've done that, stuck the mod in my pocket (turned off) and if you press down on the button (unknowingly) you can change the mode. Then you turn that puppy on and go what the .....? Then you gotta turn the mod off again and hold the button down till you're back in VW mode. :thumb:

Yeah, I'm hoping it's something like that. Or maybe one of the TC coils installed and set to watts. I think all of us bought just for the tanks but the batts are just so neat it'll be a shame if hers really is DOA.

The early Easter party is over I think I'll go give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!
ETA: still not working. Fire button is VERY sticky, but I don't think that would explain why it's not working. I fished my other one out of the stash and it works just fine. So I must have a dud.

Did you resolve the prob? Just had the same issue with one of the Mega kit batteries right after swapping tanks. Cranked the tank on tighter and it worked again.

May be a connection issue with the 510 pin like the old isticks?

Or try a different tank?

Still not working. The tank works on other devices so I don't think it's that, but I'll keep trying other tanks

Interesting how, for me, the "red" CL coil doesn't have that funny taste that the blue one does. Anyone else notice this?

Nope, I haven't used any CL coils since I switched to the CLR's. I did use stock coils for several months before I switched to CLR's but never really noticed much difference between the kanthal or Ni or Ti.

I've got a whack of CL's here but I think I'm saving them for a rainy CLR-less day (which by my calculations should hopefully be..... never) :p

Update on Pico-s using the clr adapter- total fail.

Used a used clr coil head -leaked when filled wiped it then stopped leaking, then leaked when e-liquid was half way down.
Installed new clr coil head right before trip made sure all o-rings present and leaked when e-liquid was half way down while driving to casino used spare device with megav2 and was fine for drive.

Took apart pico-s at casino hotel room cleaned it and put on other plastic type tank that comes with it as a spare filled and leaked before puffing it , wiped tank pulled on it stopped leaking then went on casino floor was ok for a short while then leaked all over hand and device.
Went back to room inspected it refilled same thing leakage. Enough is Enough .
Brought out my mega v2 on hcigar nano device went back down wife had hit small jackpot 600.00 while i was in room.
Spent Saturday afternoon all day Sunday and part of Monday morning vaping mega v2 multiple fills and vaped like a champ as usual, wife won even more money over those days and vaping her ego one smaller tank 19mm multiple fills with never a leak as expected. She came home a winner i came home a loser over all combine we came out on the plus side by decent margin so good trip gambling wise.

Pico wise total failure, ego wise as expected total satisfaction as usual being almost boring
simply because they are so trouble free as always.

Congrats on the win! My pico-s leaks like a sieve with the CLR adapter. To the point where it's not even worth using. Makes me wonder if that's a common problem? Does anyone else have a similar experience?

Same experience with my Leako-S. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I can tell, there's only 2 places the liquid can get into the base. From around the edge of the CLR itself, or around the edge of the base plate (for lack of the correct part name), that the CLR screws into. There's an o-ring beneath that base plate, that appears to be 1 mm thick. I wonder if a 1.5 mm might work better. When I tighten down that base plate, with the stock o-ring, it feels the same as when there is no o-ring in there. I would expect a little resistance on the last half thread or so, as the o-ring was compressed. I'm totally just guessing here.

I might epoxy that thing in there, to see if that fixes the leak. If not, it must be getting in the base from around the CLR itself.

I tried the rebuildable deck as well, but had nothing but trouble with that as well.

Not impressed with the Leako-S

That's has got to be the toughest deck to build on! I was trying to build it today to see if that helped the leaking, but was unsuccessful

Ok I've been reading the accolades for CLR coils here for about, oh I don't know, a decade maybe o_O, and I'm close to buying an ego one V2 and some CLR coils, but this is me here so I still have questions I hope some of you are kind enough to answer.
Flavor - how does the flavor of the CLR coil compare to that gold standard of drop in coils for MTL, the Nautilus 1.6 and 1.8 ohm BVCs (recent vintage, not what you might have tried two or so years ago with ceramic wicks, those horrible horizontals, etc).? And how does the flavor compare to coils you've built (single coil) on say a Kayfun (or clone) V1, 2, or V3?
Center pin coil wire that is against that silicon insulator - have you ever noticed signs of overheating, partial melting, etc of the silicon insulator where the resistance wire touches it? I have no desire to vape silicon vapor :D I'm hoping that the fact that current flows through the center pin keeps silicon temperature low, though at the exit point toward the coil the silicon is going to see some heat from the wire for sure.
Leaks - The V2 - does it leak? Out the air hole, maybe as the juice gets low in the tank? I vape high PG, and saw at least one post talking about leaks here with higher PG. Maybe also with VG? If it does i will play with that collar to control juice flow the way I do with my KF Mini V3 clone, though this will be compressing the cotton wick so who knows how that will perform.

Draw - Does the airflow control allow a decently tight draw for those who like that in their MTL tank, like the Nautilus Mini, Triton Mini, or KF V1?

P.S. If you are one of those who raved about the Icare Mini here on the forum please confess as I just might not trust your judgement as the IC 1.1 coil is without a doubt the absolute worst coil ever designed by man since it has NO air flow through the coil and basically boils and spits the juice up as you pull a slight suction on it with airflow coming in from above the coil. Zero flavor, 100% spit (slight exaggeration for dramatic expression), compared to a Nautilus coil which gives moderately decent but somewhat bland flavor.

I disagree, the award for worst coil performance has to be with the cubis!
