Ok, I unboxed my Pico 75 today, did some temperature accuracy testing, and vaping away on TC for the first time ever :D Love this Pico, going to order another! Below link to my testing and recommended TCR settings for 316L stainless steel coils:

Well, I finally got a couple of eggrolls to my brother to try. After a year of being back to smoking, he finally has something he likes!

This is the first thing he's tried that he likes since back when he was using 306s. He had been slowly getting fed up with them. He had tried EMDCCs, Nautilus, and Subtank. That I know of. He didn't like any of them.

The only complaint he has about the eggroll is that it's kinda dry on his throat. It puts out enough vapor that he's probably going to have to try using higher VG.

I've got high hopes!

As a latecomer to the eggroll party, I got a few Ego One kits with 1 ohm coils as well as some CLR heads. I decided to start out with the stock CL head to see how well I could get it to work before heading to the likely nirvana of CLR.

It wasn't pretty at first. Getting the airflow down to the tight level I like took some work, and then the damn coils would unscrew every time I went to refill. I set the whole thing aside for a couple weeks.

Starting over this weekend I found the best liquid viscosity/airflow combination for me and finally got a pretty good vape with the CL heads at about 6.9 watts. Now that I'm used to the refill/unscrew issue, I am looking forward to trying out the CLR once this CL gives out. These toppers are worthy of my vaping hoard and I expect many fun CLR builds in the future. Thanks for all the helpful insights everybody!

I have only had the top of my clr coil unscrew everytime on one tank. It is happening on the 1.8 ml tank and not on the other sizes. Dunno what size tank you are using but this is my experience.

I also found I did not like the cl coils at all. However, I am so glad I listened to the members here in this thread and tried the clr coil.......ya just can't beat the clr's imo.

What can be done to the CL to make it better? What did you do?
(I'm awaiting my first ever batch of ego one stuff, so naturally curious)

Replace it with a CLR ;)

I check and twist mine with each fill (when required). "Problem" solved (for me).

The CLR coils have totally changed my personal vape game. I'm still somewhat amazed at that.

Nopers... they still have the CLR Ti coils for $2.50 a pack...

5pc joyetech ego one clr-ti vt atomizer head

And the eGo One stuff is still on sale but you have to go through each option and see what's left...

ego one series claerance sale

I couldn't pass up this one, even though I don't do Ti. I have extra bottom pins with the smaller air hole that I can substitute, and will just rebuild with my usual Kanthal 1.6 ohm / rayon go to build. Went a little overboard ordering 10 packs, but for 50 cents each, I couldn't lay off.

Also grabbed one of the Evic Mini / Ego One Mega (V1) kits for $19.90, to get into free shipping range.

It was my first order with HC, so I got 10% off + $1.35 ecf discount. Out the door for $39.06. A Fathers Day gift to myself.

DH, best of luck with your bro. I hope that perhaps the higher VG will be kinder to his throat and that he'll become an Egg Rollio fan too!

ya just can't beat the clr's imo.

Don't know why I haven't noticed this before, but the bottom of my ego one mega batteries get pretty darn hot while charging with the supplied charger. I pulled another charger out of another box and it's the same. Is this normal for these things?

When I bought my first (of many) eGo ONE Mega V2 Tank I saw that it did not come with a coil...

When I checked to order a 5-pack of CL coils vs. a 5-pack of CLR coils...I found the price of the two to be the same...

So...I came up with the harebrained scheme that if I ordered the CLR's...and never ended up ever rebuilding one... I really didn't lose anything ...
