In today's episode of "Adventures with Eggrolls" >
One of my elders, now 325 days young, needed to be re-wicked (for the billionth time). Cotton was tight in this one. Once again, by the time I got it removed the coil was so disfigured that one wrap of it was actually sitting outside of the wall.
I pondered simply rebuilding it, but I had to know...
Took out my trusty tweezers, and a screwydriver, then started playing with it (so to speak). A tug here, a pull there, finishing up by a careful push back inside - and a squeeze.
Cleaned it up, put it on a base, then dropped it onto the 521.
Not only did it not short, but it rang up a nice 1.34. It looked perfect in firing, with zero "bounce". It has lived on to be wicked again!
I'm sorry but these things are TOUGH.
