greetings and salivations;

I have a rather unique issue with a ego pass through battery, and i am not sure what to make of it or what the issue is.
First off as far as i know it is the 1100mAh version of the pass through.
Second i have tried the smoktech mega dual coil on it, and the Extreme Vision 3.5ML Clearomizer on it.

When i first got it, i used a usb ac charger to charge it up (the charger is rated as 5.0V 500mAh output) it seemed to go good for like 30 or 40 minutes after it was charged, then when i pressed the button and took a vape the light stayed on and so did the battery, then the light blinked 6 times and turned off. I thought the battery died so i charged it again through the ac charger until the red light went out then tried it again. It did it again at random not to long ago. at the time i was using the mega dual coil.

I switched to the clearomizer and tried it that way and last night it did it again, just at random. What is ticking me off is that it seems i get slightly better results on the two ego 650mAh batteries, and even then it is just not the same with either.

This is really starting to get to me, and honestly i am very close to putting the pass through and what i got for it (including juice i bought) down in the classified's or ebay, finding a way to give back the smaller ego batteries and it's equipment (and juice) i was first given...tossing my hands in the air and sticking with analogue smokes. Don't get me wrong this is not something i want to quit, but i cannot keep dishing out cash for different batteries and cart's/atties to see what "might work best" as i am on a very fixed very low income. So i thought before i went to the extreme i would ask to see if there is something i am missing here.

Can you please clarify if your 650 mah batts are Joye, or if not, what brand are they? Cant really comment accurately on your situatjon without knowing that. I'm pretty sure Joye doesn't make an 1100 mah passthrough batt (someone can please correct me if they do) so its difficult to know the exact characteristics of it also. Do you know the manufacturer?

In any case, a 500 ma AC adapter can't supply enough amperage to charge a passthrough batt while it's being used, especially using DCCs which drain them pretty quickly. I find a 1amp unit is sufficient for mine, and I vape pretty heavily.

All i can tell you on the battery is this; eGo battery 1100mAh Pass Through that is all i know...there is no branding on it....I have noticed that it is a lot longer then my 650mAh batteries. View attachment 82982 on the left and right are the 650mAh batteries in the center is the 1100mAh pass through.
View attachment 82983 This is the pass through, that is all i know sorry

As for the 650 batts all i know is that they are something called genuine ego's,

the smoktech dual coil is (and this is what i found from the suppliers web site) 1.5ohmz Mega Dual Coils Cartomizer Contains Dual 3.0ohmz in Parallel giving a total resistance of approximately 1.5ohmz

the clearo: 3.5ML @ 2.8-3.0ohms or LR I am not sure if i got the ohms or LR

the atty's i had where a reg (?) and LR (which have all seen their way to the recycle bin due to this)

I now have one more mega dual coil (same as the one listed) and my fingers are crossed it does not go way of the recycle bin. If it does then i can try some 808 carts i got (which when i use those i feel sick and get a headache)....failing those as plan b, then i am on to analogue's with and packing it in

OK. Well, I certainly understand the frustration. For me, the quest has always been for something that JUST WORKS, without having to constantly tweak/fill/clean/tinker/charge etc. Seems like it should be a pretty simple order but things are unfortunately a little more complicated than that.

One large part of the complication is that there is such a mind-boggling number of manufacturers making so many products...and as if that wasn't enough, a lot of those products look like the other products AND it all looks like it should work together, but...in a lot of cases, it doesn't. I kinda think that's what you're running into right now.

As far as the cartos/clearos go...they don't all work with all eGo style batts...especially when you get into the LR stuff. To make matters worse, tolerances in manufacturing are often pretty wide...i've heard of some supposedly 1.5 ohm cartos actually being 1.2 or 1.3, ohms when tested...which is so low that some batts would never run them (due to protection circuitry).

Best i can suggest (especially without knowing the specs of the batts you have) is to stay away from the extreme low end of LR cartos (such as 1.5) and you may find you dont have so many probs. As i mentioned before, it's very possible for LR cartos to trip protection circuitry...they also in my experience kick in the "cutoff" quicker (with Joye batts this makes the light blink and it shuts off the power) so whatever increase in vapor you gain from the hotter coil....is negated anyways by shorter run time. Additionally, that type of LR stuff may even be unsafe with your batts. I know you dont want to dump a lot more $$ into more disappointment, who would? But i also hate to see anyone give up vaping and end up back with cigs. Maybe try one more small order of 2.5-ish ohm cartos...pick up a few @ the cost of a pack of analogs, and hopefully things will work much better.

As for the stuff that gives you a headache...dunno what would be the reason for that, but if it was me I'd stay away from those. Might put you off vaping forever.
