I came in my front door this afternoon from work puffing away on my ego passthrough and when I got inside I decided to put it on charge for the eving christmas shopping. When I checked it 2 hours later it was completeley dead. When I press the button with just the batt I get nothing. If I attach atty or carto to it the button flashes 3 times everytime I push the button.

Anyone know what the 3 flashes mean

If i have to rip the thing apart to jerry rig it I wil.l Im going to scream

Those are pretty new came out about 3 months ago. Haven't heard of any being bad in my readings. The flashes mean the battery is dead and needs a charge. Might try plugging it into a different USB source or maybe even a Fonzarelli tap will get it to charging. If those dont work i got a sledge hammer you can use. :)

I have one of the eGo passthroughs and it is a standard 650mah eGo battery with a USB charger plug on the end of the battery.

However, it still uses the same mosfet system (small board under the button). If you were using a LR atty, then the chances are that the mosfet is fried.

Similar problem in the thread below.

PS. I no longer use LR attys after losing 7 eGo batteries in quick succession.
