I know this topic has been discussed before, but in my brief search, didn't see enough straight to the point. Which one is best for great vapor, TH, and taste? I'm fed up with regular 510 LR cartomizers that burn throat, hardly work, leak, pain in the ..., I wake up with horrible sore throat and I think that is from bad burning toxins. Still time to make the holiday happy with a new device.

These are all just 510 "fat battery" units. They are still going to use 510 atomizers and accessories. They all output a similar voltage (3.2-3.7v). The factors you're unhappy with; vapor, TH, and taste, have very little to do with which brand of "fat" 510 that you buy. These factors have everything to do with the flavors you're ordering, the blend of the juices, the attys/cartos you use, the voltage of your device (which is irrelevent in the models you're comparing) etc.

Yes, I understand, it seems people love the fat battery models and I just want to know which one is best to get, but I'm guessing they are all similar. I have a bad batch of LR cartomizers now, this is why I'm unhappy, otherwise I've been happy for months before that with good ones, but can't find those type now. Regular 2 piece attys are too weak with the reg 510 battery even with LR atty, but LR cartos are too strong and burn, so I'm wanting the fat battery to give the 2 piece an extra power to give a much better hit without burn, this is why I want to know what people recommend.

That throat burning may be due to the e-liquid you are using. For example, you may be allergic to PG. Try 100% VG juice and see if that helps. Also you might prefer 510 atomizers over cartomizers. [I've never really liked cartos myself. Dripping directly on the atomizer bridge gives me the best vaping experience.]

With the exception of the Riva-901 mentioned by Sgt Disturbed, all the models discussed above are based on the 510 atomizer. My favorite atomizer is the penstyle (e.g., 801, Joye 302) ... and I've fallen in love with the new 800 mAh Boge Leo: what a smooth, rich vaping experience it is. I list/link various suppliers in this review. The least expensive (until Dec. 15th) is Vapin' in the Cape: $40. All kits come with just one battery and atty.

BreezEsmokes (which also carries the Leo) has just started carrying the JSB VGO-801: another penstyle-based fat batt, this time with two 900 mAh batteries for $60 (so comparable to, but different from, the 510-based Inferno). I'll be receiving mine in a day or so and will post a review here on ECF a few days thereafter.

[NOTE: Both the Leo and the VGO-801 have their own proprietary atomizers and are incompatible with any other penstyle atty.]

If you otherwise are happy with the 510 atomizer, you might want to check out the 510-based 900 mAh JSB VGO-900. BreezEsmokes is selling a one-battery kit for $30 and additional batteries for $18, so it may be the most cost-effective fat batt out there. I've not used it so I can't comment on its quality or effectiveness.

[NOTE: "V-GO" or "vGo" is also the name of the (different) fat batt from Royal Smokers, which may be carried by some suppliers (although I see that Clouds of Vapor no longer carries it). It's higher mAh version is 1300 mAh (same as the Hello 016, but longer and more slender).]

BTW: This thread should be moved to the Requests for Opinions/Reviews forum. The OP's post is not a review, but a request for one.

The genuine Joye one's (like Janty or Litecigusa have) seem better quality than some floating around. The Joye has a nicer rubberized finish, button feels better, seems to be better made. The JSB one's are painted with lines in it, and the design loses it's flare quick. I like the stuff Joye puts out, but I wish they would fix the atomizers to stop leaking. But, the cone stops most of it because it's screw on, on the JSB the cones are slide on and is plastic instead of threads. So, the JSB leaks through the cone.

Thanks for the help. After hours of mind spinning research, I really had to just toss a coin and choose. I ended up getting a Ego kit from Liberty Flights for 39.99 which is the lowest I've seen it for ( I prefer a short device I can stealth). The LEO was very tempting for smoothness and LED but since I've got a pile of 510 attys I figured I'd stay with 510. I may still get a Leo after this arrives. I'm hoping the fat battery will give a full vape with flavor and throat hit on even normal attys, the LR cartomizers are killing my throat so I'm done with that. Seems Dripping is really enjoyed over anything else from what I've read, so I'm planning on that. The ability to change flavors sounds nice, and I'd rather have 5 great hits than 15 bad ones.

Madvapes had a couple nice pv's I would have got one but they are out of stock, and seems like a lot of places are out of things.

I'm really looking forward to moving past the regular thin gutless 510 batteries.

Just don't expect a fat battery with high mAh (but not high voltage) will give you more flavor and TH, CArtVapr. It gives more time between battery recharges. Period. [And a lot of us like the appearance and feel of the total package.]

Flavor, vapor, and TH are rooted in the atomizer (e.g., I prefer the 801), the watts (e.g., moderately low resistance or 5V), and the e-liquid.

Well that's exactly what I was wondering, but I'm still thinking a strong battery will produce better hits for a longer time, for example, I'm coming from the regular 510 bat, the taste and hit drops off very quick, but the first 5 or 10 are super great with full force battery. So this is why I'm looking forward to the fat battery.
I've heard about the LR 306 Atomizer + Drip Tip Package, would you recommend this for better hits from a fat 510 battery? Or will it be frying the throat? There's a difference from TH and burning throat, which has been my major prob with some of the new LR Cartos. Haven't figured out the problem, pulled stuffing out and filler doesn't seem burnt, but the wire is black. The Liquid I've used for over a year so don't think it's that or PG.
Do you think there's a way to get close to a "LEO hit" from a 510 with fat battery - such as the above 306 with drip tip, or ex large ego attys?

Liberty Flights is one option for you to take a look at:

E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings

They sell eGo's & Rivas.

The Riva 510 (750mah) & Riva 901 (750mah) are at a cost of $29.99 + $2.99 shipping when you use the ECF discount code. They ship from California. I have used Liberty Flights and have had no problems.

They offer a discount of 20% for ECF members. At checkout you simple insert - ECF - and the discount is applied.
That brings the $37.49 price down to $29.99.

I don't know how long they will have them at this price. I guess what I'm saying is, IF you think you want to try a larger battery this Might be one to take a look at. At least you are not paying a large amount of money for something you may or may not like.

Hope this makes sense to you. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I'm impressed by the Cisco LR 306 (which I use with adapter on my Kr8/901-based Elegant, similar in voltage and mAh to the eGO). Clouds of vapor and more flavor and TH than the 510, even LR 510 ... IMO. Make sure to keep it very moist; drip frequently. VaporFlow's two Ciscos plus one drip tip package is a good one. For more on the 306 atty, check out this article.

However, it has a very different feel from the Leo (or any other penstyle). BTW, you can run a penstyle atomizer (not the unique Leo atty) with a 510-to-801 adapter on a 510-based fat batt (just as I do the opposite). Since you don't yet know how you would like the penstyle atomizer and you have all those 510 attys, Liberty Flights' great deal makes a lot of sense.

I can't use the 306 atomizers. They burn my throat as well. One possible solution would be the magma atomizer from volcano. They are 510 but way outperform other 510 atomizers I have used. Also check out their anodized drip tips.

The Leo is a great choice. I bought myself one for my 60 analog free milestone and love it. The 800 mah battery doesn't last as long as the 1000 battery from my inferno but I get 6 drips at a time in there and keep a spare battery charging.

1. get a ego with 900 mah batts.
2. get a Totally wicked steel drip tip
3. stuff some tom fish filter around your atty for 5 cigs worth of vaping (6 to 8 drops).
4. Vape your brains out! enjoy!

I got the Inferno after starting off with their Volcano and am happy with the vape. Dripping is definitly best, followed by adding on the Vapemate. For a more intense hit, I'll use the Cisco atty with drip tip. The 650 mah/PT is my main vape and will last me all day till I get home from work and plug it in and use it as a pass thru. The 1000 mah will generaly hold a cart or cartomizer for a change of pace from what I have the 650 set up for and using it that way, it'll go a few days between charges. I don't know about the other models you asked about, but Volcano's customer service and warranty are great. As for cartomizers, I'm still not thrilled with the vape off them but the new E-2 clear sound pretty good and once volcano gets them in stock I'll be trying them out. The current e2 mega is good but if you vape em dry, that after taste really sucks and I haven't been able to clean out that taste.
