I have been vaping for about 5 months now and LOVE it. I don't miss smoking at all...that it, until my Ego-Ts start having problems. In the past 5 months, I have purchased about 7 attys...some LR, some not....an ultrasonic cleaner...bla bla bla. They inevitably get gunky. Yes, that's a technical term, I believe! I've learned how to take them apart and clean them, but it seems like they never quite vape the same again. I clean...I rinse...they flood...I adjust the wick...they don't produce enough vape...the wick burns...they flood again....and then I just buy a new atty. I am tired of the hassle. I know that some people like tinkering. I don't. What is a better option for someone that just wants to vape...a good vape, mind you...without the endless tinkering? Is there one? I hate to switch methods completely because I have about 4 650mah and 3 900mah Ego batteries, but something has to give! Any ideas would be helpful. I was just about to order yet another couple of attys, but wondered if I should try something all together different. Thanks in advance!

Wow! You've lasted 5 months on an eGo-T, I'm impressed. I lasted 2. My advice is to go to Crystal Clear Vaping (good prices and free shipping) and get some Resurrector cartomizers. They are also available on other sites as the Smoketech LR 1.7 ohm cartos. You will load them with just about the same amount of juice but top them up occasionally with a few drops, very easy.
They changed my outlook on vaping, pure and simple. You can use your eGo batts no problem, they are practically made for them. Go ahead and see what other posters here have reported about these cartomizers and you will see similar testimonials.

I haven't tried that brand of carto but a LR carto with a 510 connection will work on all of your batteries. For a more finished look pick up a ego atty cone.

I started on eGo T 6 months ago and never plan an "upgrade". If you use a clear type liquid, the atty can last over a month with no cleaning at all. At that point if you throw it and get a new one, you're still saving good money. If you can figure out how to clean them, you'll save even more. I soak them in vodka and dry burn with the wick out for my cleaning method.

You could also just go to a regular atty and a cartridge. If you aren't chain vaping, it gives the filler plenty of time to wick the liquid, and you don't get dry hits. I am a chain vaper, so I have 2 egos in rotation that I use.

Just throwing it out there, because I just tried cartos, and am not feeling the love that other people seem to have for them. Admittedly, I have cheap cartos, but still.

Other option would be to buy a different type of tank. I just got some tank attys to go on my regular ego batteries, and I am loving the egoT.

I loved mine at first... I've had it since saturday and my regular atty is toast already. I tried to break it down to clean it, and the wick was fried to the coil... I've been vaping the LR since, and now the flavor is gone. I'm waiting on my dual coil mega carts from altsmoke, to see if I like those better. I hope this atty lasts until they get here. :( So I didn't even last a week with the tanks. It's day eleven with no analogs and I guess this is why a back-up device is important...

Chances are that thick juices are creating your problem. Are you vaping VG juices or juices with more than 30% or maybe 40% VG? The wick in the eGo-T doesn't like thick juices and they wick very slowly.

The other problem that might be juice related is clarity. Sediments in juices will clog the tank wick as well. If it isn't clear, then that could also be an issue. Color can be dark, but if light doesn't shine through the bottle easily, you probably have a juice that contains sediments that are clogging the wick.

The optimum juice for the eGo-T is 70pg/30vg. Some use juices up to 50/50 that are clear.

Priming helps. Draw on it a couple of times without pressing the button and then press the button and vape. This creates a slight vacuum and helps to draw juice through to the wick.

If all that doesn't help, then you might want to try Boge cartos. Get the 2.0 ohm Boges and use the condom method to fill them the first time. After that, you can pop off the mouthpiece and top them off with a few drops of juice. Even if you continue to use the tank, you owe it to yourself to try cartos.

I don't know about the OP, but my juice is 100%pg. My atty still gunked up. I am useing a rather dark juice, summertime peach from Johnson Creek. Is it known to reak havoc on these attys?

I do not plan to change but my juice is not clear and its not a big deal for mine. I blow mine out regularly or clean with a few drops of boiling water. As long as the cart does not get below half full, the leaking does not occur much. I just switched to the B atty and they are so much better than the A.

Thanks for all of these recommendations. I had tried a variety of juices...most 70/30 from vapalicious with good clarity. I ended up ordering the Resurrector cartos from Crystal Clear Vaping and LOVE them. Seriously....what was I doing with the Ego-T? I still on my first one and have been vaping on it for almost a week. Great thing is that when it starts to get a little off, I don't have to worry about cleaning it, drying it, bla bla bla....just pop in a new one! So, again, thanks for all of the help on that!
