So this is my setup while i wait for my provari. Two ego twist 650 mah with a Ce4 (long whick) and a mini vivi nova (2ml). Love the twists but i'm ready for a real vape. It's a nice gateway vape from my apollo starter kit to the pro.

I use my vivi nova 2.4ohm at about 4-4.6V (4.6V is because after a few vapes the voltage begins to drop and i have to adjust to compensate. 4.6V is at the end of the battery).

Man ... I find 4.6 a little too high for my 2.4 ohm nova head. Granted ohms aren't 100% as rated on every head and juice plays a role.

My sweet spot is about 4-4.2.

not quite....they are expensive because they are well made...the GGs are Greek made and cost as much if not more than a provari...same with the titinide from ecn, which is French made...just American made doesn't mean expensive, it also depends on materials...the provari is solid stainless steel, most Chinese mods are copper played with something else like chrome....the best example I can give to contrast this is the reo mechanical bottom feeders, which are USA made and cost significantly less than a provari depending on the model.

U.S.A. made implies well made implies expensive, in this case. Thanks for the tip though, those GGs are fine looking pieces. They even claim to have no wires and a lifetime warranty to back it up! My point stands that all the eGo batteries are of Chinese origin.

not denying eGos are chinese in origin, that's a given....as for the "no wires" thing, fully mechanical mods contain no wires and have no amp limitations in the switch, so they have a ton of pros and very few cons, they just don't get much showing because they are fairly expensive and because there is no VV/VW capability if there are no wires involved, so you're stuck with low resistance.

however, they are popular, and there are quite a few mechanical mods out there, including the much-touted ZEN mods, the GGs, the REOs, titinide, and the iHybrid APVs (i know this is far from a comprehensive list)....

i'm determined to find an american made mod that is cost effective due to this topic, though i feel it might be a pipedream...lol

Just to mix things up a bit, here's a full sized VN on a 650 mah Twist with a big tank adapter. Hope this works - will be the first time I've tried to insert a pic.

always thought the big ones made it look like a lamp post lol.

But having the right thread cover does help for sure. :)

elmattias, you mentioned reos devices earlier talking about constant volt ... don't forget that there are VV models available now.

yes they do, and i am aware, however those are not true "mechanical" mods....i'm expecting my first reo in the mail tomorrow actually, i'm getting a full mechanical reo grande though, no VV....wanted to be a purist with this one lol.

<chuckle> You're absolutely right elmattias, though I didn't think of it that way until you mentioned it ... just lasts longer between refills  and the look doesn't bother me at all.

that it does...i admittedly hardly use my nova though, i carry the same setup in my picture earlier strictly as a backup...i much prefer my phiniac cartotank on the provari for an all day carry.

I've had my first mini VV for less than a day, but so far liking it a lot. I know it's hard to compare TC to BC, but Flavors by Joe Cuppa Joe in a Kanger T3 BC, I was always getting nasty almost metallic hits, not really dry, but not good either. So far this mini VV has been giving me constant flavor ... and yeah, tons of vapor. And it looks good on an eGo with the thread cover. At some point I might consider a full size VV, but I don't know. The form factor is just right with the mini.
