If you could that would be a pretty cheap mod. I've seen them for about $23 for 650 mah. I've wanted to take a peak inside the ego c twist if you happen to try this out would you mind posting pictures of the twist taken apart?

Maybe you could cram the twist and an 18490 in one of those big ego t tubes.

this is the closest i've been able to find of an ego twist taken apart Ego-C Twist Repair - YouTube

i havnt taken an ego twist apart yet, i was more wondering if i could when the battery in mine died. im also wondering if the extra 0.5 volts from the AW would effect the circuits of the ego twist.

anyone out there taken one apart yet?

is it possible for you to hook it up to an AW and see if it works? im not sure if you have a multi meter or bread board. if you do it would be really helpful to me.
main thing i want to know is if the inbult circuit protection would trip with the extra 0.5 volts

Not that I'm aware of. I think that's close to the regulated output of the regular Joye eGo or in the past it was. The twist is VV so whatever you have it set at is the regulated voltage. The Riva and a lot of the eGo clones are unregulated.

so do you believe swapping the battery for a 2000mah AW would work? (in a new housing)

Picture should be up now sorry about that. Unfortunately I'm just starting to learn about this so I'm probably not going to be much help.

Theoretically it would work. The battery in an eGO is a standard Li-ion battery that charges to 4.2v and drops fairly rapidly to 3.7v where it slowly discharges under load a 3.2v cut off. The regulation on some eGo batts is to increase battery charge life and give the user a constant 3.3v/3.4v vape from charge to empty.

dont get too excited for me to try this out straight away. i would actually prefer someone else to do it but i am going to try it myself when my batteries eventually die (not for ages im hoping) im more just wondering if it would work and why no one that i can see has thought of it or attempted it before.
resons why im not going to try it till my batteries die is because while ego twists arnt that expensive in the states they cost a lot more here due to shipping

I know you can charge the ego t 18650 mod with an ego charger so I would think you could.

When you took you twist apart did you see if there were any circuits under the battery? I see the twisting end of the ego is still on the tube and unless I'm wrong all that is in the picture are the battery, circuit, and ego threading.
