If your going for flavour and a vari volt I'd say around about 2.8 ohms all a low cartomiser will do for you on a vari volt is burn and taste nasty pretty quickly unless you keep it on a low voltage which defeats the object of buying a vv and I'd say go with the vamo they are cheap and the features far outweight the twists as for what atty carto to use that my freind is relative to the individual I personally can't stand carts but love clearomisers and I know people who prefer the polar opposite to me so really is down to preferance

There's also aesthetic aspect. Twist is thin and elegant compared to Vamo.
I've ordered Vamo because it is more powerful, uses batteries that I can change instead of buying new device. But I don't care how it looks and it's size. Fully packed device with low price tag is a win.
I might rethink this and add twist to my collection when I receive it and see how big it is with my own ees instead of trying to figure that out from pictures and reviews, but still it looks like it's great device.

I've used the eGo-C upgrade battery at 4.7 and now the twist. Most Clearomizers will require a higher voltage to get a smooth vape. The standard battery is fine for eGo Cartridges. I've had a few of the top wick Clearomizers which end up tasting burned and then you will need to constantly tilt and re-wet the wick. I have picked up a few Kanger T3 Bottom Coil Clearomizers that I love! I get more utilization of "juice" with very minimal left over when done. The T3 also offers replaceable bottom coils for easy replacement. The T3 also holds 3ML of liquid!

Personally 3ML is a lot of liquid for me. I prefer switching flavors many times a day so I fill the Clearomizer 1/3 - 1/2 full of my flavor of choice for the moment. This is another advantage of a bottom based coil and wick. I don't have to fill to the brim to get a good vape!

Lastly, I have found the T3 real easy to clean as the wick is shortened. When I'm done and want to "swap" out flavors, I take out the coil and let it soak in Hydrogen Peroxide for an hour or so then rinse with warm water. I prefer H2O2 over chemicals because it will disolve organics faster and has no aftertaste. I have also found that after the H202 bath, the wicks are white again!

Good Luck & Enjoy!

Edit: ok seems vamo is the ego bamboo, and double the price of ego twist. is the price worth it? both seem to be ok to me, just vamo has replaceable battery. is the difference big enough to justify? planning to go with one of these two along with kanger t3 clearomizer.

Still didn't receive even my Vamo, but i think yes. 2 batteries will provide longer work hours at higher voltage vs twist. Twist is just vv device, vamo is packed with much more features. Vamo is packed like high-end device at low price. That's imho and why I chose it over others.
From my experience (ego style regular battery 1100mAh) I can't get full day on them. I carry 2 batteries all the time, so more powerful battery was a must for me + the additional battery is not full device price like with ego's :)

It's called bamboo at HealthCabin :) Other's may go by the name Ego VV blah blah blah, don't remember exact name :)

Same experience for me : wick at the top = having to tilt the PV to avoid burning the wick when it gets dry. Bottom coil clearos hold more juice and I like to vape various juices one after the other, so I've got 10 - 15 cartos/clearos/tanks in a tray.

I am rotating 4 eGo-T batteries 2 x 650, 900, & 1100 mAh and would like to know what the next logical PV would be when these start failing. Since I am a chain vaper, I don't want to pay for a $200 PV unless it's a VAST IMPROVEMENT over the eGos, which I am happy with as a novice vaper.

I've never used a T3 or any other bottom wicking clearo. I've got a bunch of CE5s that are top wicking. I loved them at first, until the juice level got low and I tasted burned silicon. Man, that will give me an instant headache.

I moved to DCT tanks for better juice delivery and love them. I use a Locking DCT setup (Artemas).

This works just fine on my EGO twist. It also works on my provari.

EGo twists are good batteries and while simple, work rather well.

Plus, they are slimmer and more concealed than my Provari, which resembles a pipe bomb.

I use 4 Twist batteries with Kanger T3 clearos. I like the T3 because I am not a big fan of massive throat hit. I want to relax and enjoy vaping, not show how tough I am by enduring it. As a bottom-coil unit, the T3 naturally cools the vapor (don't ask me to explain, it just does) and gives a smooth, cool vapor allowing me to adjust voltage upwards without setting my throat on fire. Love it.

Not to be too off topic, but I've seen some of those carts / tanks and batteries that would look like I'm holding a whole summer sausage in my hand to vape! I get it.. more juice, more battery etc. I do like to change my juice flavors though. I've been rotating various eGo 1000 mAh batteries and think they are large enough. Do I really want to vape using 2 hands to hold on to my ecig???

With the Vamo you'll also need to factor in the price of batteries and a charger. I also have Ego Twists but they don't get used at all any more. The main reasons I like the Vamo are the ability to check resistances of my atomizers and the variable wattage, which allows you to set it at a preferred wattage and the Vamo will change the voltage automatically regardless of the resistance of the device you put on it. It's big and heavy with an 18650 battery, but is shorter with a single 18350. I like the versatility.

Can I assume from your join date that you are a fairly new vaper? Have you tried Variable Voltage? Starting out with a Twist or a Vision Spinner is what I recommend for new vapers. If you find your not crazy about it, or don't need it, you're only out $25. If you decide you must have it at all times (like moi), then you can get a bigger mod, and keep the Twist/Spinner as a backup, or for out and about when you want a smaller form factor.

I like the Vision Spinner a little better than the Twist, smaller form factor and easier to read voltage adjustment.

i have been vaping for a bit now... and i only have twists and the cylaplex... it's kind of like the mvp, but better IMHO...
i have no real desire to buy a provari or zmax... granted i do enter contests lol.
Also, i think that the more power you have, and the bigger tanks you use/need the more juice you use...
I was stranded for 2 days and my 900 mah spinner and a almost full kanger2 lasted me, and then some.... granted i tried to stay at low volts even though i prefer 4V...

Interesting because PBusardo just came out with his clearomizer shootout and he says the T3 does give nice TH.
I'm sure your right it probably does provide a smoother hit but I bet lovers of beastly TH will be happy w/it too?

I don't get that much TH from the T3.Don't get me wrong, I love the T3,but I'm not sure a TH junkie would like it.

The PBusardo review on clearomizers was at a higher voltage than a normal eGo battery.

So if you aren't getting the throat hit you crave, up the volts.

The T3 is 2.4ohm. That might be a little too high resistance for a strong throat hit. The twist or the spinner will give you a better range.
