hi everyone,
Im looking to upgrade to a ego twist, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on a few things: 1) a vendor that offers a good enough warranty on the ego twist 2) which tank like vivi nova or ? will go good with the twist. 3) which adaptor will go with the twist and tank or clearo?
sorry for the numbering above lol.. but i would like some help in maybe a good setup idea all in all. and a vendor that has all parts so that was i dont have to go shopping around to multi stores online. and a plus is discounts and freebies couldnt hurt either ;) I do however wish i could get vv mod. but i just cant afford them, like them silverbullet, provari, ect. thank you in advance. :)

Welcome , the Twist , is a good entry level VV type PV . And yes the Vivi will work on it , but looks a bit big on an Ego battery , Look at maybe Gotvapes.com , and look at their starlights / Ego Visions , and get a low resistance version , An Ego will power a SR , but won't give as much satisfaction . The 650 mah is about 4 1/2 inches long , the 1000 mah is at least 5 or 6 inches long . They do work well from 3.2 volts through 4.8 volts . If you get something other than the starlight's , you might want to order some cones , both short and long versions , also some tank adapters ( just makes it look nicer .) Good luck Oh , and if you go to Gotvapes , sign up for their newsletter , as it gives you a vip discount on everything you buy . And they have great customer service , as well .

You don't ever need a Provari, Lavatube or a Silver Bullet in my opinion so don't worry about that. At 6 volts you need to have 4.5ohm or more resistance on your atomizers to not damage them and get an extremely hot vape in the process. In fact, if you ask around, you'll find that most of them have a "sweet spot" that is somewhere within the 4v+ range. That's exactly the range of the EGO Twist. The most common atomizer resistances are 1.X to 3.0ohm. In fact atomizers that aren't 3.0 ohm resistance or lower are pretty rare and your choices in them are very limited. So why pay more for something you're never going to use and the market doesn't even provide the right equipment for unless you are a reckless throat hit chaser?

The Vivi Nova is the tank clearomizer of the future. Look into those and look into rewicking them. You can find more details about these things in my blog: The Vaper's Handbook here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/shoganinja/2998-vapers-handbook.html#comment5864

Currently vaping on my Provari 3ohms @ 5.8v, not too hot by any definition, and not damaging the atomizer. I will concede though, that if you are not exposed to it, or at least not enough to get used to it, then cooler capes are great. I remember when I couldn't imagine wanting better than an eGo with a CE2.

As per the post, the eGo Twist is a great little device, and the Vivi Nova is highly regarded. If aesthetics are important, the Stardusts are great, but make sure you get the ones with a longer wick.

1) Your best bet is altsmoke.com's (good warranty and CS) eGo-C Twist Battery register your email with them and use code FIRSTORDER for 10% off your first order.

2) What Renzuli said

3) If you decide to go with Ego-C Twist and ViviNova then purchase this or this for the Vivi Nova mini version (both from GotVapes).

Hope I helped in answering your~ Happy vaping~ :vapor:

There's always a reckless throat hit chaser out there. I'm not saying it's not possible to be one of them. I use broad statements that encompass the greatest percentage of the population. Just last night I had this discussion on live chat and all of them said between 4.2 and 4.8v to the man. How long does it take to melt your coil at 5.8v on a 3ohm coil? Are you sure you are actually vaping at 5.8v? I know on the Lavatube it actually lowers the voltage to what it considers it to be a safe level (without telling you it's doing it. Evidence here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSJMhjhH4BA). Reading the FAQs for it on the Provari website they actually do recommend the 3.0ohm coil. Strange. The lavatube is also notorious for not actually giving you the voltage you ask for. It's always off by a little bit. IMO Lavatubes are junk.
Here is where I derived that information from:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tutorials/260292-selecting-cartomizers-match-your-battery-temperature-preferences-excel.html

edit:
Ok I figured it out here:
The ProVari has a higher amperage limit. This allows the device to push lower resistance cartomizers at higher voltages. This gives the ProVari an overwhelming advantage when using dual coil cartomizers. Knowing when the protection circuitry kicks in also gives the ProVari the upper hand in real-world use conditions.

So I amend my previous statement about resistance vs high voltage on the provari only. If you got $200 you don't need then go for it if you want but you're going to be hitting a lot of buttons to change voltages to find your sweet spot every time you try a new atomizer.

I have been vaping one of my provaris at 6v for a couple years now on a 3ohm carto and have never had any problems with my equipment. The vapor is really warm though. On another provari I use a 2.0 ohm dualcoil carto at 5.5v. This set up is alot cooler vape then the singlecoil 6v set up.

I also have a couple Twists and have them set up with the mini vivi nova and the adapter and they look very streamline. Gotvapes sells the mini novas and adapter. The full size novas make the Twists too top heavy imo.

I recently got 2 eGo-C Twists and I absolutely love them! I have them paired with some Kanger T2 clearomiser tanks and they vape very nicely. Currently vaping mixed berry 70/30 16mg and belgian cocoa 70/30 18mg and both are nice, although I prefer the berry. The cocoa seems a litle thicker and doesn't give as good a vape but....compared to the eGo-T i started with just a week ago these are 100 times better IMHO :)

I looks like the numbers on the twist are small and hard to read and my vision is failing. When you change settings can feel or hear a difference as the settings change so you can tell what it is without looking?

No clicks. I can't see either, so I carefully "marked" them with a very very thin sliver of tastefully placed marker that came with my Toyota (to fix any little scratches). I'm sure you could use some colored tape in tiny slivers as well

I'm blind in one eye , and crossed eyed in the other . That being said . No click or anything . but all the way counter - clockwise is 3.2 volts , and all the other way is 4.8 . I don't even look at the numbers . I put on whatever device , and vape it at the low setting , then slowly work my way towards the high side , and stop when I find my sweet spot . So really no need to look at the numbers . At least that's how I do it .

Regular or mini size, the choice is yours. The mini is cheaper in price though by about 33%. I wish they made the metal tanks for the mini!

Whichever one looks good to you. Make sure to look at the larger image pictures of each one and see which one you think looks the best.

BTW: thanks for the extra links people, some of those sleeve adapters look a little different than the one I had posted on my blog so I added yours to it. I appreciate that.
