Hey guys, with all the holdup in China, I'm gonna go ahead and just order a Twist-type device from Discount Vapors. It's probably the safest choice anyway.

Question though: I have the ProTank II with the skirt. I'm looking for my device to be very streamlined; I'm very perfectionist about the look of my device, and I wouldn't like wagging around a device that has odds and ends that look out of place. With the Twist 1000mah, the battery doesn't "dip in" where the button is, and I've seen though clear examples that the Protank's skirt glides perfectly with this set-up.

However, I just haven't seen it on the Spinner 1300mah, which is a better deal both in price and battery time on DV. Would anyone happen to have a picture of the 1300mah model (or any Spinner?) with the Protank II and skirt? I'm just worried that the skirt would look jarring on it - I don't know if the battery is just wider, or if the button area is skinnier, than on the Twist!

The 1300 mah Spinner is fatter than most Ego's it is also not much longer than a 650 mah ego.

Not really a big photo, but the 1300 mah Spinner is setting between an Ego 650 mah and Sigelei Mini Zmax. It has a 3.5 ml Vivi Nova on it with a large tank beauty ring. Just about the same as the Protank skirt. The ring blends right in at the button area and the bottom of the Vivi Nova. The button area on the Spinner is the same width as the 650. So it may look top heavy because of the bigger tank, but the transition from the Spinner to the tank should be fairly smooth.

I love my Spinner. My 1100mAh is skinnier than my 1300 mAh Spinner. Just got the Protank 2 yesterday and love it. I'm all about streamlined and pieces looking like they belong together. It looks alright on the 1100, but looks better on a 1300mAh battery. Attaching a pic of my 1300 mAh Spinner and a Protank 2.

While the Twists hold a special place in my heart, the general 33% mark-up all across the board Joyetech's about to spring on us, the Spinners are becoming a much more viable option. They're fatter, but boy, do they last a long time for an eGo. And the markings are so much easier to see. Still playing with my Smok Winder to see what kind of durability it has, as well.

All I can say is I have the twist it has worked well and served its propose well
I will not be purchasing another or a spinner I like mods better
but they are great in the beginning

However if I were to do it again I would get the spinner
Just because when Its not very lit up around me It can be frustrating trying to see the volt setting on the twist

is the tank you will be using a 510 connection or an ego connection?

I'd say go for the higher mAh whenever the option is available...higher mAh means longer battery life.

evod, ego threading

vivi nova, 510 threading
and of course with the 510 threading you can always buy a beauty ring to make it hide the ego threading and make it appear to be all one piece....

plus spinners are easier to read than twists (unless you get one that has a digital display that is)

I wouldn't buy anything lower than a 1300 mAh Spinner if I were planningto use it exclusively with a Protank 2. The mini looks great on 1100 and lower. The Protank does look a little out of place on the 1100 and it is top heavy. The top heavy thing isn't as much of a big deal to me because my things are always on a lanyard because I drive all day every day and want it easily accessible and to be able to just drop it and have two hands on the wheel in a split second. But honestly, I think the Protank on a 1300 mAh battery is much more aesthetically pleasing than the smaller batteries. Plus, I doubt anyone complains about longer battery life. :)

Thank you guys! I think I overall like the Twist aesthetically (I somehow think the longer, skinner battery flows into the Protank II better than a thick battery that gets thin in the middle then fat again) but if the Spinner has a low-battery alert, and had those markings on the bottom (the lines), I think I'll be purchasing a Spinner. Cheaper too!

On Discount Vapors, though, the picture of the Spinner just has numbers, no lines. Is this the sign of being a clone or older model?

I'd trust DV.

EDIT: MJTP, where in Tennessee do you live? If you're in East Tennessee, you should look up Vintage Vapors (Chattanooga/East Ridge), and Mountain Oak Vapors (Cleveland). There are also some vape stores in Nashville. I think there may even be one in Murfreesboro, but I could be wrong.

If you happen to stop by Chattanooga, stop by Portofino's. It's the restaurant owned by Dimitris, the guy Busardo always references. He lives in Chattanooga. Also, if anyone is in that surrounding area, check out "Scenic City Vapers" group on Facebook. It's an open group.

I was looking at the spinner's also at Discount Vapors some of the colors show lines some do not. Glad you pointed that out, I didn't notice that.
