I know it hasn't been out long but there's very little feedback on this device on the web. This is the one I'm talking about...

eGo-V V3 Passthrough 1300mAh Battery - Black/Stainless

I'm using standard EVOD 650 mah batteries at the moment and this would be a big upgrade but I can probably get a Vamo for about the same price. Has anyone got one of these or seen any reviews?

Thanks.

I have the V2 Mega. They're decent batteries. Mine's been unused for almost five months. The only issues I've had with it, the button occasionally sticks while firing and the bottom cap is HIGHLY prone to breaking and scratching.

But they're a great middle ground between plain egos and Twists/Spinners and mods. And I see they added VW. Neat!

In my opinion, it would be a solid purchase. Just be careful with the stainless, the super cool logo rubs off within a day.

EDIT: OP, I posted a similar thread about the V2 months and months ago. It got little to no attention. For some reason, this device just slips under people's radar. There were only two videos on it on Youtube back when I got it, and one video was in Russian. Weird, huh?

Actually........ yes. Definitely yes on the iTaste V3. But that's just my opinion.

The Vamo...... if you're really wanting a tube mod, then I say go for the Vamo.

HOWEVER, with VV/VW, an Ohms checker, 1300 mAh, AND a passthrough feature? Yes, I say, go for the V3 Mega. I had two V2s and only one of them had a sticky button, so I'd say that flaw is negligible. Go for the black, though, so the printing doesn't rub off.

Yep it's really weird, even moreso with the V3. It's almost like it doesn't exist at all there's absolutely nothing on youtube and only two vendors in the whole of the UK are selling it. You would think something that's such a nice step-up from standard Ego batteries would get a lot more attention.

compared to a vamo, it would be ALOT thinner at only 17mm compared to the I think 22mm of the vamo. The itaste is square and around 16mm. The vamo is probably longer the itaste is about 2cm shorter.

Basically, it is the size of a vision spinner with a couple of cm added on to its length(due to the screen and passthru)

You can replace the battery on the vamo, which you can not do on this, or the itaste or spinner for that matter.

It doesnt seem like a bad device. Maybe $5-10 more expensive than it could be, but eh, not bad imo.

Fwiw, these are $19 @ Fasttech.

I was considering getting one but the reviews were very mixed so I passed. For under $20 shipped I might still try one down the road.

I just had a look on Fastech. The V2 is on there, not the V3. The complaints about the V2 are mostly about the button. Hopefully they fixed that with the V3.

I just got the eGo-v V3 mega a few days ago. I have the V2 and as I really like VW vaping I ordered a V3 direct from China. My only complaint on the V2 is that the power button occasionally sticks (others have reported this issue). Unfortunately it does not look like they addressed the problem; Power button on the V3 looks and feels identical to the V2. However I have not had the V3 long enough to see if it sticks. Ref: Forum: AVP Discussion/Variable Voltage APV Discussion - eGo-v V3 mega. for my review.

Thanks for that Jim I just had a look at your review. I am wondering now if I should wait to see if people have problems with the button on the V3 but I suppose as I'm buying it in the UK if I have a problem I could just send it back. Maybe the button looks the same on the V3 but they've fixed it with some new type of flexible magic glue or something

The ego-v v3 looks like its official us release is the end of this month.... you can purchase it direct from manufacturer overseas on sites like ali baba.... looks like price on it is too good to pass up. Aqua vapor got their hands on it and they are letting it go for $35. I have a standard ego-t 1100 mah and a spinner 900 mah I really want to get a vw mod now and Im debating between getting the smoktech sid or the ego-v v3. While they are the same price range I like the ego v3 has the built in 1300 mah li-po battery and also a pass through while the sid you still have to get batteries and a charger. But also the sid is prolly gonna work forever considering how solid it is. Wish I had enough money to just buy em both.... damn....

Just pulled the trigger on this one - purchased mine at aquavaporcigs.com. I have the itaste vv v3 and it stopped working today (only had it for 2 months!). I hope this one lasts. I love small vv/vw devices for traveling and the passthrough option is a plus. I will come back to share my experiences with you about this device.
