I receive 2 of these just a couple of days ago and wanted to pass on a quick review. (hopefully I posted in correct forum)
* The look, feel, and size is identical the V2 mega. The main difference between the V3 and V2 is that it has a variable wattage mode and ohm meter.
* Battery is a 1300 mAh and performs well. Charging from a drained state takes about 3.5 hours and fully charged it lasts me 2-3 days of vaping.

* Display is brighter and easier to read than that on my V2.
* Variable voltage/ wattage mode is selected by pressing the + button for 5 seconds. Current mode is indicated by a V or W in the display.

* Voltage/wattage setting is via the +/- buttons with a range of 3.0-6.0V or 3.0-15.0W in increments of 0.1V’s or 0.5W’s.
* Setting and mode can be locked to prevent accidental changes.
* Short/low resistance (below 1.2 ohm) protected.
* Coil resistance is displayed when you first screw your tank on and can be called up any time by pressing the – button for 5 seconds.
* Supports both 510 and eGo threads.
* Supports USB pass-through operation.

I really like this device as it is packs all the features of much more expensive MOD’s in a smaller and lighter package.

** Update: Like the V2 the power button on the V3 occasionally sticks on -auto shut down after 14 seconds. even with this issue, i would buy again.

How much of a concern is the power button sticking? I mean is it constantly happening and is it a defect with all or some of them? I been leaning more towards the ego-v v3 between that and smoktech's sid just because of the value

Just happened today One of my new V3' dies - will not charge, completely dead. Other is still working fine. Will contact my supplier and see if he will make it right. I will let you know.

Ugh!!! That's disheartening to say the least. I want one really bad but not if its going to be a problem child. Any updates?

Bought one of these (1300 mAh, basic black) on a whim at my local B&M last week; I can always use another battery, I like VW, and I really like pass-through devices. It's very nice except for one thing...

It's mini-USB, not micro! What was eGo thinking? Mini-USB is obsolete -- it was officially deprecated in 2007! I have micro-USB cables and chargers everywhere. Mini-USB, not so much. The whole point of having an internal "pass-through" charger in your device so you can charge anywhere, without having to have any special charger or cable!

Somehow I simply assumed that a brand-new device released in 2013 would be micro-USB. My bad. As a result, it will be relegated to desk duty. :D

Got one of these six weeks ago. Had the button sticking issue for the first couple of days and evened out. Then it just died a couple days ago. It won't charge, display anything or react at all whether or not it's plugged into the USB. Tried a bunch of USB cords with different power sources just to cover all the bases. Emailed my vendor to let them know, but since I've had it six weeks, I don't expect anything. Seen several instances of this on the forums. Looks like I won't be buying anything made by SLB again.

I don't own a single micro-USB, and own plenty of mini-USB cords. It just comes down to what devices you use.
