Hi all,

I was a member here for a while, but lost my user/password combo. So I started a new account for this thread. If this belongs in a different forum - mods please move. Thx.

I've been exclusively using an eGo 1000mAh battery with a Boge 2.0 Cartomizer combo - mixing my own liquid - for what seems like ages now. About two years or more.

I'm super happy with it: battery strength / charge, power of hit, flavor of hit.

Recently I came across what looks like it might be an interesting alternative: the iGo 4 Clearomizer.

There are a few reasons why I'm tempted to try this out.

The tank system would save me money on carts every month (I'm paying from 8 to 14 dollars a month on carts). Also, I've read some articles regarding possible metal vapors coming through the vape from carts and I'm wondering if a tank might reduce this. And the battery charge system with the iGo 4 is pretty slick. Very handy.

Does anyone have any experience with the iGo Clearomizers?

If they're not as reliable, strong and flavorful as the setup I have - or better - I won't bother to blow the money on it.

That looks like a slick little unit right there. Very pretty. That charging base would be awesome to have - I wonder what kind of connection it takes?

It's the clearo that I'm really curious about. I didn't see any wicks there, it looks more like a carto in that way. Doing a little googling, I found that that's a version of the new(?) top-burning CE6. I don't have any experience with those - all I have right now are CE4s and Kanger T3s - but they look interesting.

I just realized that I might not have actually added anything meaningful to the conversation, so I'm gonna head to Youtube and see if anyone's reviewed them already!

I actually started an account because I had a question which pertained to this. I have the igo 4 and I love it! The battery is a beast and the clearomizer holds more liquid than I could possibly vape in a day. I've only had it for two days though. Before that I was using Joye 510 batteries with Clearomizers and it just wasn't cutting it as far as constantly changing batteries and refilling the liquid. I'm still rather new to the whole thing so if something goes wrong I assume it's me. As of today, I keep getting dry, harsh pulls from it. If I fill it back up past the wick it's fine again. This can't be the way it's supposed to work because most of the liquid is below this level. I tried looking up the problem online (why I came here). This is my first stop here (hi), but I was trying to research online and it found that it's like that because the wick needs to be wet. The wick goes all the way down to the bottom but as soon as the top is uncovered, it starts getting harsh again. I have a feeling there's either a simple fix I don't know about or I have a faulty clearomizer. I saw there are tricks to cleaning carts and getting them to work better, I imagine it's the same for clearomizers.
