You have knowledge and insight, yet you state you are a new vapor having trouble with ONE BRAND of an ego style battery. Please feel free to make as many SWEEPING STATEMENTS as you feel fit. I love your style.
Because I bought them at the same time?
I'll bet someone else has set you straight - but lemma have a minute of your time.
You repeatedly say "eGo STYLE battery. So i presume (correct me if I am wrong) you purchased just that - an "eGo STYLE battery" - not a JoyeTech eGo-C / JoyeTech eGo-C Upgrade - a GENUINE JoyeTech product - not the knockoffs I believe you are describing.
So? Confirm my suspicion OR disprove them; I seriously doubt GENUINE JoyeTech eGO-C batteries are what you have in your mitts.
As far as this: "So, for all of you veterans who tell newbs to "start with an Ego" I will have to firmly disagree. Ego's are garbage and should be completely bypassed for real equipment from day one." ............ to be blunt - you are full of hot air.
Tom
You titled this thread "Egos are garbage (Warning to Newbs)"You could have taken 3 minutes and read my post, but instead I will have to repeat myself yet again. What I have is a genuine SMOK product (I have the box and SMOK is stamped on the unit itself). Both of then are faulty. Other people (on these forums) have complained that this same model is giving them problems.
Perhaps you consider SMOK a knock-off. I don't know. Perhaps Vision is a "knock-off" too. I do know that SMOK is a major player in the e-cig market and I expected better QC from them. If I have to pay $5 extra bucks for a product with better QC and a manual included, I would happily do it. That's not what you get from companies like SMOK, however (or any Chinese company really).
I will never buy a Chinese battery again. I will buy U.S. mods and batteries that are made in Korea or Japan.
Good for Joytech. Apparently SMOK doesn't extend the same courtesy. My B&M store said it is only a 14 day warranty. I brought mine back within a week and my B&M store wont replace it without first "testing it." This tells me that they think I am a liar.

As if I don't have knowledge and insight?
It's true China allows a lot of Americans to buy stuff they couldn't afford otherwise. At the same time, China has zero environmental regulations (like literally zero). They have no minimum wage or child labor laws. If you try to unionize, you will probably be jailed (or worse). So it boils down to, would you rather stuff be made in the USA for a higher price? Or would you rather buy stuff cheap all the while ignoring what goes on in China to produce it?
No - they believe you do not know what you are talking about and no matter what they do - you'll complain. they would rather lose you than service you. A wise choice considering the crap you are spewing forth here; a know-it-all who really knows nothing.

Funny thing is I know more about electronics (and physics) than any of the people working at my vape shop. So I find it humorous that anyone would claim I "don't know what I am talking about." This isn't nuclear physics. This is simple electronics (like high-school level). I know when a battery only holds 2 hours of a charge when it claims to be 1300 mah and working at ~4 volts. It's easy to see and easy to verify that the battery is bad.
Besides, why would I even come in there if the product was working as advertised? What do they think I am trying to pull? I can't get money back (nor am I asking for it). I want it replaced and I find it a slap in the face that they must "test" it as if they are some electronic engineers or something. What it says is they think all of their customers are liars. Not a good way to do business, especially since I am a frequent customer who has spent several hundred bucks over a couple month period on juices, batteries, tanks, etc.
