I'll bet someone else has set you straight - but lemma have a minute of your time.

You repeatedly say "eGo STYLE battery. So i presume (correct me if I am wrong) you purchased just that - an "eGo STYLE battery" - not a JoyeTech eGo-C / JoyeTech eGo-C Upgrade - a GENUINE JoyeTech product - not the knockoffs I believe you are describing.

So? Confirm my suspicion OR disprove them; I seriously doubt GENUINE JoyeTech eGO-C batteries are what you have in your mitts.

As far as this: "So, for all of you veterans who tell newbs to "start with an Ego" I will have to firmly disagree. Ego's are garbage and should be completely bypassed for real equipment from day one." ............ to be blunt - you are full of hot air.

Tom

You could have taken 3 minutes and read my post, but instead I will have to repeat myself yet again. What I have is a genuine SMOK product (I have the box and SMOK is stamped on the unit itself). Both of then are faulty. Other people (on these forums) have complained that this same model is giving them problems.

Perhaps you consider SMOK a knock-off. I don't know. Perhaps Vision is a "knock-off" too. I do know that SMOK is a major player in the e-cig market and I expected better QC from them. If I have to pay $5 extra bucks for a product with better QC and a manual included, I would happily do it. That's not what you get from companies like SMOK, however (or any Chinese company really).

You titled this thread "Egos are garbage (Warning to Newbs)"

Good for Joytech. Apparently SMOK doesn't extend the same courtesy. My B&M store said it is only a 14 day warranty. I brought mine back within a week and my B&M store wont replace it without first "testing it." This tells me that they think I am a liar.

No - they believe you do not know what you are talking about and no matter what they do - you'll complain. they would rather lose you than service you. A wise choice considering the crap you are spewing forth here; a know-it-all who really knows nothing.

I read your post and it's still crap. You condemn 'eGo batteries' ........ and can't seem to understand it is 'eGO STYLE' you have; no sense in going back and forth with an empty vessel .......... you hate the Chinese - period.

Blame the shop who sold you the battery. Oh wait - you already did and even THEY blew you off. A good move.

Tom

A complainer - another one not worth wasting time on; he's a know-it-all who is only interested in blabbing garbage.

It's true China allows a lot of Americans to buy stuff they couldn't afford otherwise. At the same time, China has zero environmental regulations (like literally zero). They have no minimum wage or child labor laws. If you try to unionize, you will probably be jailed (or worse). So it boils down to, would you rather stuff be made in the USA for a higher price? Or would you rather buy stuff cheap all the while ignoring what goes on in China to produce it?

It's all driven by greed. When most people had retirement accounts that were sponsored by their employers, few average people played the stock market. When 401K's became the norm the money flowed to Wall Street from the average man. The average man wants to make money on those stocks/mutual funds and the boards in charge of those are more than willing to sell out the American worker in the long run for short term profits, only to be returned to that same American worker that is getting screwed with work disappearing.
What do you want? Profits for your retirement and a cheap but available product, or small profits and the product costs more?
I'm in a Union, they P&M all the time, don't buy from this guy, don't buy from that guy, and at the same time the reasons they give not to buy are the same reasons I don't like on how MY retirement funds are used in mutual funds that are directed by the Union.
I've got more money invested in foreign countries than anything in the America's, and I mean Canada, U.S., Mexico, S. America, only because the Union sends it there.
Now I'm lucky, I hit retirement age for my Union, retired temporarily for 30 days and got all of my money out a couple of years ago and put it where I want. Since I've gone back to work more money has been put in were I don't want it, but I will have to retire again to get it out.
It's all greed, no matter the country of origin or where it ends up.
Batteries........well, try and return any kind of battery, at best they'll prorate it and say see ya in a few months. ego style have worked well for me. I've gone bigger and better but have found most B&M's will cover 14 days like you said. It's not they don't trust YOU, they can't trust anyone. Hell most people don't buy from them and try and return it to them just because they might sell the same product, they have to be careful to, ya know.
Better luck with what ever you go with in the future. Either way it will end up in the trash dump in China in the long run. It's the worlds toxic dumping ground. They've got good food though.

Funny thing is I know more about electronics (and physics) than any of the people working at my vape shop. So I find it humorous that anyone would claim I "don't know what I am talking about." This isn't nuclear physics. This is simple electronics (like high-school level). I know when a battery only holds 2 hours of a charge when it claims to be 1300 mah and working at ~4 volts. It's easy to see and easy to verify that the battery is bad.

Besides, why would I even come in there if the product was working as advertised? What do they think I am trying to pull? I can't get money back (nor am I asking for it). I want it replaced and I find it a slap in the face that they must "test" it as if they are some electronic engineers or something. What it says is they think all of their customers are liars. Not a good way to do business, especially since I am a frequent customer who has spent several hundred bucks over a couple month period on juices, batteries, tanks, etc.

SHORT VERSION: I am a know-it-all demanding, unreasonable customer who "sounds like a liar" when I rant at my B&M shop. They are persecuting me - dismiss my rambling because they have seen people like me before.
