Recently I have acquired the new "Egrip CL edition 30w mod", and have noticed alot of things(good and bad)

I have the rda base as well, but was thinking of modifying the over all airflow to slightly more open.

The rda base has 2.5mm airflow all thru, BUT the egrip mod chokes that down to 2.3mm (not alot but noticable) due to the chimney airflow. 1st question I have, has anyone tried to drill it out wider? I have searched for the last 3 days and came up empty.

There was a thread (not mentioning where) that someone drilled it out to 3mm with the rda base to also 3mm. With no pictures I am to assume he was lying, quick check of the pin on the rda and the pin is 3mm on the outside....

Anyways, I was planning on drilling the egrip chimney, and possibly a hole directly into the cl base as how the rda head is.

Has anyone a tempted this? Anything I should know?

Well since it seams no one every attempted it, I became a pioneer.

Drilled a 3/32 hole into the center of the cl base.

Airflow has increased and supports more air than the rda base, as the hole in the bottom draws in air so does the stock egrip airflow hole.

Closing off the airflow screw, limits the airflow to the same as the rda base.

So far no leaks, and I may drill out the chimney also.
