Yes, I had indeed considered the Plato as well (replaceable battery and 4.5 ml tank). But here is the reason the eGrip Light is so compelling: significantly lighter (124 vs 184 g) and smaller (75 vs 88 mm). I also have an Evic (which is essentially equivalent to the Plato in terms of size, weight and removable battery), but it's just no contest...

No contest the Egrip Light is way to go. Much more capable, dependable & easy to use. Much cheaper coils & better hitting. You will need anti spit drip tip though.

I keep hearing this and I am not sure whether this applies to all coils. I use the 1.5Ω Claptons and they gurgle and spit a couple of draws, but once they are broken in they work very well without any spitting. These coils last several months for me and are very consistent and reliable. I hope they keep this model for a long time.
