I've changed the way I wick mine now. I leave about 3mm of cotton outside the channels and, using tweezers from above, pinch the ends of the wick and bend them down inside the cup. Then I make sure the side of the wick is up against the channel. This way you don't have to worry about the wick getting pulled away from the channel when screwing the base on. I've had no wicking or leaking issues since using this method.

Thank you Pete54! I was about to give up on this tank due to dry hits with whatever I tried. My coil is to long to do the bend, so I basically left the wicks at about 3mm outside the chamber like you described, pushed them up, and then tucked them in. Very similar to a Kanger Subtank v2 rba head. Been through a tank and no dry hits! I am wicking challenged and there always seems to be a trick. I think what I did is what you did or very similar.

Thanks for the tip. I rewicked mine tonight and tried your suggestion. Working like a charm[emoji106]

So, sounds good for dry hits.
What of leaking?

I'm not having any issues with my builds but I love options. Thanks Pete I'm going to give it a try for grins.
Same here, zero issues. I have rewicked three times since I've had the tank.

What I do is cut them long, leaving the bottom of the wick tail longer. Cut it on a slight taper, wet it and fill the channel squarely. No leaks/dry hits.
Running a 1.3ohm coil at 33w. I don't chain Vape besides to see at what point if it gets remotely dry. It didn't. Love this effing tank.

Well holy crap! Mine just hit New York! Hopefully I'll have it by Monday!

Now I have to figure out what I'm going to run it on? Anyone have a Bachelor on a Cuboid or a Istick TC100W? How's it look and feel?
I have both and it looks great on either one.

Glad to hear folks are having success with this wicking method. Here's a pic that may help conceptualize what I'm doing. I use Koh Gen Do cotton but any wicking material that has the fibers running in one direction will work the same. The red line indicates the direction of the fibers. In the pic they are very saturated so it's hard to see but the wick swells up, sealing the juice flow cut out. So far it's worked perfectly for me. Not one drop of juice has leaked anywhere.

Mine is on an istick 100tc. I think it looks nice.

Running 35/65vg with rayon.

Aside from that one time, I haven't had any more leaking, just a bit of weeping from condensation.

One other thing I have noticed, and this is using rayon, is that if the tank sits for a day or two before use, the flavor is off, or more precisely, super-saturated. It turned my favorite cereal vape into something akin to a sweet tart, but disappears after a short while of use. When they do sit, the juice flow controls are shut down.

This is just an observation. The flavor on the Bachelor is fantastic, and that has nearly made me not like my favorite liquids anymore ;)

I'm going to break it down tomorrow and try rebuilding it, and work on the wicking and see how it goes.

Just remember that any juice in the chamber or saturated into the wick no matter what you have the juice or air flow set to is open to the great wide world via the chimney. You could think of it as open air "Steep" for two days depending on how long you let it sit.

Remember, if you leave them sit unused, your build will gunk up.

Happens to me all the time with RDAs because I most use them for juice testing.
I do the same thing Roxy. Have to remember to dry burn and rewick before I go juice tasting again
