I finally got around to replacing the pre installed Kanthal coil.
Damn... what gauge is that paperclip? o_O

So, without giving it much thought I went with a suggestion from upthread and rolled the 24g 316 using the original for a template. I went with lightly spaced and must have needed about 12 wraps. I should have counted after I pulled to tighten, I'll check when I rewick.

Came out at 0.58, wicked up nicely. It's still breaking in but no leaks so far.
I'll start wringing it out in a bit.

Just got my 26g 316L coil installed as well. It's popping like crazy, but great flavor at around 520 degrees on my RX200. That's with a custom TCR of 0092, coil reading .67. I may have gotten one of the wraps too close, not used to doing spread coils with such a springy wire. More experiments to come.
Have you tried the default SS 316 profile on the RX200? I'm sure it varies from wire to wire and TCR setting but on my cuboid using the default SS 316 I don't need anywhere near that much temp in the same build. I have never had to get over 450 degrees for a warm dense vape.

I have a 26g-316l-9/10 wrap-3.5mm in right now. It's dreamy.

Dreamy?

We're going to need to keep an eye on you. I hope your not neglecting your girl friend/wife :)

I'm thinking about picking up two more, damn fine atty!

I read online that the SS setting for the RX (I know the cuboid runs pretty much the same chip) was for 304 stainless. Did I read incorrectly? It does seem to hit much hotter on that setting. Right now I really just can't get the popping to stop, the flavor is fine but it's so loud that it's freaking my roommates out! Is this normal with stainless, or did I not get enough wick in the coil? I feel like I stuffed it as much as I could.

Usually an indication of wicking too loose. Try rolling it a little more and make sure it's snug inside the coil. This is especially the case with contact coils. With nicely spaced coils it's more forgiving.

I'm not sure of this has been addressed, but all I have is 28g Kanthal. Can I use it in this tank? I'm looking to build around 1.5ohms and use it as a MTL tank. Thanks!

Go ahead and try it. The only thing that might be an issue is stiffness of your leads. It may be harder to get into the post holes being thinner wire. If it gives you fits, you could twist 2 pieces, and do a good number of wraps to get the resistance higher.

i run 26ga NI200 3.0mm in this tank all the time. i have not noticed any issues at all. no leaking, no resistance jumps, no nothing. Best tank i have used since the Squape R.

The only complaint i would have would be the AFC ring is too loose, and as a MTL tank i have to have it 3/4 closed. I couldn't find a way to disassemble the build deck to try to put a o-ring behind it or something to tighten it up.

Thanks for the response! How many spaced wraps can you fit on the deck with 26g? Ohms?

I had a FT order that said it shipped before the end of January. In stock item, replacement glass for the Higo. I never received it and the tracking number didn't work. So I opened a ticket a couple days ago to inquire. I got a nasty reply saying it did not make it out of China before CNY and to be patient.

Then last night they sent me a new message saying it was never shipped at all because they hadn't gotten it in stock afterall.

So, now I'm feeling I can't trust FT actually shipped something just because they told me they did and issued a tracking number :?: So what is that photo of the package in my order history?

I suspect that in reality it got lost and they can't ship me new glass because they ran out.

I had a package show up 3 months later. After they replaced it. So never give up.
