I am highly impressed with this. After a full day with it, it's killing it. Never a dry hit no leaks. 94%VG, 3mm rayon keeps up at 47w, jc full open most the time, I did take advantage and close during heavy travel. A little noisier than I hoped on lung pulls but normal. I'll try to
mod it at some point to quiet it down.
Liking this bachelor quite a bit, I'm new at building and this has been a little tricky for me to keep it from leaking so far. I think my last build is correct (just finished and started
vaping it) but it seems to be a little time that tells if it leaks or not. I used the installed coil for a while but the time it took to heat up was not great for me. Not sure what i did with my first build but it was jumping ohms (2.5mm 26g SS) and not sure but this last build (3mm 26g Kanthal) is a whopping 1.69-1.68 ohms, is that normal?
And it's staring to leak... with the JC 1/2 or less open as well. Love vaping on this but really having trouble building it correctly.
It did take me a while the first build. It's such a huge deck really, I debated for a while what to do. The original coil is gigantic. I ended up going 26 too. First one was up at 1.6ohm at 3mm it's normal, it's a lot of space and wire. I took out two wraps and spaced the coil a little more still 1.38. Need to take a couple more wraps out and space it more. Then I think it's will really come alive, instant massive clouds, it's already chucking impressive clouds. If I had a hundred watt I could turn it up to 50-60 and fog it out but I'm maxed on the evic by ohms.
I assume your using cotton since your having issue. Make sure your tails are fluffy, need to fill the channels especially at the bottom. You probably want to lower your coil some to help.
I think the original leg length is slightly too long. That coil nearly touches the ceiling in there. Lower it a little, this will help you keep the wick in the bottom of the u slots. If it's loose at the bottom of the slots, Liquid will leak by to the deck.
Otherwise a bigger coil for more wick but starts to get unruly for ramp up and retention; with even more wire or lower gauge. If you must you can try cheating it by adding an over or under wick, a little piece meshed in just at the channels to help fill them more.
