FWIW, I find the 28awg UD SS316L wire really thin, almost like it's 30awg making it really hard to work with or get good resistance readings BUT I've had a lot of success running it twisted. Right now I'm running a dual coil twisted 28awg SS build in the Griffin & it rocks.

There's actually a thread on FT where some guy measured the UD 28g SS stuff with a micrometer and it was 0.29mm so its actually more like 29g. I am almost certain the 26g UD is actually 27g as well as I have a few different rolls of 26g SS and it definitely seems thinner and comes out to a higher resistance.

Thanks to @MMW

I'm not sure if it's the new dna 200 I just got or more than likely this last coil build but the Bachelor has just moved up to the top spot in my tank rotation, this thing is AWESOME.

Anyone else have a leaking issue after switching to the black o-rings? I switched mine out and it kept leaking! First I thought I messed up my wicking, so I re-wicked, same thing! I kept adjusting the wick, made sure the o-ring in the chimney was there, even replaced it with the spare, leaking all over!

So I started with the bottom black o-ring, put the blue one back in and no more leaking! I really want to use the black ones, but where am I going to get some from? :( I replaced the blue o-rings with the black ones on the other tank that my GF is using and hers is working great.

This is what I ended up with

Same here, received two yesterday and just put them into service. WOW. Everything about it is great. Super machining. Love the feel of the juice and airflow controls. Copied the prebuilt coils with spaced Ti 1, made them as wide as the posts. They came out to .39 at 3.5mm ID. Super easy to wick, again I copied the prebuilt with a slight angle cut. Great performance, glad I got two during the FT CNY sale.

Thanks for turning me on to this beauty folks. Fantastic flavor.

Hi, just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the wicking etc. tips. I just got mine this week - from FT. took over a month. I think something has changed with their shipping. Anyway, first 2 times I filled it leaked like crazy. Tonight I left the tails a little longer, stuffed em in a bit and closed the juice control to half open. So far so good! Now I'm liking it. Thanks again 24 ga kanthal 4 mil .9 ohm
Next coil I'm goin with 26 ga. This one takes a couple of seconds to heat up.

Something really weird going on with mine... initially I thought it was the black o-rings, replaced the bottom one with the blue and it started working perfectly. Last night I tried putting the other blue one (top) back on and no matter what I did it leaked! I re-wicked 3-4 times, went back to the black o-rings, made sure the one in the chamber was still there, no luck! I then put it on another mod and no more leaks, using the black o-rings. Is it possible a mod could be pushing the 510 pin too far and causing it to open somewhere and breaking the vacuum?

The mod with the leaking is a Presa 75, it has not leaked using the SX Mini. If you look a few posts up you'll see that it's also working with the SX Mini using the blue/black o-rings. I can't recall if I was using the Presa when I had the problem earlier and thought it was the o-rings, but it's possible. I usually grab whatever mod I have handy.

The only other thing I can think of is that I use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean the tank. I used it both times just before I had the leaking problem, I was changing flavors... it has a built-in heater and I use it, and run it for about 20 mins. It's possible that it just needs a while to cool down, but I doubt it, it was plenty cool when I was re-wicking it, even rinse it a couple times with cold water once it leaked.

I'm all out of ideas! My GF is using the other one on a eVic VTC Mini, I re-wick it for her every few days, she has had no leaking issues.

The wicking is very forgiving in this tank. You almost can't do it wrong unless you leave it too long and the wick gets caught in the threads of the chimney. I've trimmed it flush like the old taifun method and I've left a little Extra and tucked it in the holes like mentioned in s previous post. Both have served me well. The only time I experienced any leaking was when the clear silicone o ring that lives inside the chimney bell fell out when I was cleaning it and I didn't notice it. It's easy to do so be careful. Also the o ring below the deck where the base screws into the tank. Another very soft clear silicone. After cleaning make sure to lube this well. It tears very easily. This is a very well built RTA.

I did push the pin in as far as it goes when I was having all these issues. The weird thing is that I noticed a bubble or two when I did that but then it quit leaking with the other mod. I'm going to test it again by pulling the pin out a little and see if it starts leaking again...
I have a feeling that the seal at the top fill gasket is sometimes a problem. I've been using one Bachelor for a couple weeks with not a single problem with leaking and then last evening refilled it. I got an immediate massive leak. I rewicked...same massive leak. I fiddled with it for an hour and finally gave up and stood it up in the kitchen sink overnight assuming that it would completely empty itself.

This morning there was no more leaking and it seems to be working fine again.

The only thing that I can figure is that the top "gasket" was not maintaining the vacuum seal and then somehow started doing it's job properly.

Thought about that too, based on my experience with the TFV4 Minis I have, which has the same top fill and gasket... one of the other things I tried, which I forgot to mention, was removing the top gasket, drying it and the area under it. I thought maybe the ultrasonic cleaner might be forcing water in some areas that will need to be dried. Whatever it was it hasn't leaked since!

I've experienced the same thing with two out the three I have... I'm sure that last one will have the same issue. I've been extra careful not to disturb the gasket when refilling the tank and it's not leaked on me again since. Using unicorn bottles, it's easy to move the gasket with the tip.
