I just did my first build on my kayfun lite plus. I am not new to building coils, but it's my first on this particular atty.

When I take a pull, all I taste is basically the coil. Yuck! I took apart the atty to see if the coil/wick was well saturated, and it's basically dry. Obviously juice isn't getting to it.

Please help me out and tell me what could be going on, and a possible fix.

Thanks!!

IMHO, go with organic cotton balls..it saturates fast enough and thin enough so it doesn't block the liquid the channels..

I would run down to your drugstore, grab a bag for less than 3.00. Pop up youtube, and look for kayfun tutorials with cotton...play the Rocky theme in background,

The Kayfun is based on vacuum system..3mm is pretty thick ..so it..so you might be block the channels ..can you post a picture of atty with E-wool in it..

You will find it works better with a micro coil with 28 ga wire at 10 wraps for a 1 to 1.2 ohm build. No offence, but thats the worst build ive ever seen, worst that the Fasttechs stock coil :ohmy:builds.

Lmao! Yeah I just tossed it together quick. What do you wrap your micros around? A drill bit? What size? Thanks man

Did you prime the coil/wick? Before you put the cap on the chimney you need to put several drops of juice on the coil/wick in the chimney. Is should be well soaked. Your first pulls shouldn't be dry because of the priming. Then, you should be sucking juice up the channels to the wick to keep it going. When I get dry hits after vaping for a while, I have to loosed the top of the juice tank (by the drip tip) to release the vaccuum. My clone has very shallow vertical channels that I need to dremel out.

I dont think you need to be ''sucking '' juice up from the channels,i just have my wicks gently laying on top of the channels to soak up the juice naturally, for me this keeps excess juice out of the bottom of the chimmney and i have no flooding or leaks.I also believe having the wicks over the channels helps to keep the ''vacum'' in tact.I am having no flooding, gurggling of leaks what so ever,my air hole is bone dry and free from juice. This KFL tank produces thicker, better tasting and TH vapour than the Kraken or RSST.

Glad I snapped these pics...Your cotton wick should look like this. Notice the coil is mounted diagonally across the build deck. Note the distance from the air hole too. Use just enough cotton so you feel a little resistance as you pull it through the coil, then snip it to the same width as the base. Wet it down, then tuck it under as shown. Good luck.

Thats like my build, except i have my coil raised higher and the wicks covering the channels instead.I dont have the twisted wire, just normal.
