I have been vaping a little over a month. My question is...Is there a difference between the B&M juice vs the on-line juice?

My favorites right now all came from B&M stores. My #1 is Pomeld BB followed by S.V. Tobak both of which were purchased from Smokin Vapor in Destin Florida (they make their own juice) while there on vacation. #3 and 4 came from a small local shop here in Kentucky. #3 would be Grape and 4 would be USA Mix...both with a label showing "Old Kentucky eliquid" and "Jack it up high and smoke it up hillbilly proud".

I have purchased a couple of bottles online from recommended vendors and recommended flavors and they are blah/weak/yuk... they were a butterscotch and a cinnamon roll...have both of them steeping now. I do have a sampler pack from HHV that I am going to try today.

21 days so far without an analog.

I'm still searching for my All Day Vape. I've ordered online and I've bought at local stores. Unfortunatley my choice locally is very limited and are mostly smoke shops who buy odd brands due to lack of knowledge :( Wish I could open a B&M... I neeeed good juice.... :( Good luck to ya and congrats on 21 days!!! Today is day 60 for me!

To me a B&M is quite essential in the first weeks after quitting the analogs. It's not about individual juices, but about finding the core flavor profiles that allow you to expand your horizons. If you have four or five flavors that you know you like, it makes it easier to test the waters of NET juices by ordering a few you'll know you'll like, then branching out to test new juice profiles. If you like banana but your B&M's banana just doesn't do it for you, trying one on-line may bolster your vaping experience.

I have a good B&M that I discovered just last month, so it's nice to have them near to test juices and see what might be out there. With NET juices I know I love RY4 and Peach vapes for example, so I can order them along with a few testers to check a vendor. Then get four or five go-to vendors plus a good B&M and you're set IMO.

You have choices, which is good.

A B&M is convenient if you'd like to sample many different flavors in a short period of time. B&Ms will typically allow you to sample several liquids, usually pre-filled in their attys. That way you get a sense of what you like and refine your search as you go. B&Ms can (and usually do!) charge more for that convenience as they have the overhead of a retail storefront and retail personnel costs....you're in a retail environment, so you'd expect to pay retail. The inconvenience of a B&M is driving there/back, paying sales tax, and dealing with sometimes shady help.

Online stores skip the retail expense structure, so they can afford to sell it cheaper. A 15mL bottle that may cost $12+tax at a B&M might be found for $5 online. I think of it this way: $50 at MBV will buy 10 15mL bottles (11 with free sample) and free shipping. $50 at a B&M might buy 5 bottles. You can afford to have six bad bottles with MBV and still come out pretty close. Plus you can buy it on impulse, any time of day or night, seven days a week and see it in the mail 2-4 days later. No creepy sales guy. No traffic, parking, etc.

But some people simply want to try before they buy and are willing to pay for that experience. Again, choices!

That makes sense. I never thought of it that way.

Thanks

Both. But What I've done is taken my BM's mix, had them add some extra flavoring to their french vanilla, and mixed it with their Vanilla Cupcake and it is pretty awesome. I did this on Friday and the combination is pretty fantastic.

What bugs me is that my BM which should be more expensive charges less than what some of these online vendors charge. Online vendors should be cheaper. IMO. This must be a huge profit margin for them if their mixes are any good.

It's all subjective and hit or miss. If you have a B and M near you that has liquids you like, then great. But there's a whole lot of other choices out there on the internet too.

I feel very lucky that there are two shops fairly close that I can go to, one especially has a great selection of hardware. Yeah, it's more expensive but I like that I can go in there and get personal attention from someone who knows what they're talking about, and look and feel everything. And now there's another shop that will be opening soon.
