eJuiceMeUp saves dft files that I can't open!

Hope someone can help me with this; I read the closed thread that had a mention of this, but didn't get the help I needed there. I really like the eJuiceMeUp calculator but would like it a lot better if I could open anything it has saved. When I go to the original folder location, all the recipes within are showing being opened with my VLC player, which of course does nothing of the sort in terms of opening these files. I assume they are all saved in this mysterious dft extension that my computer won't/can't open. Just for fun, I clicked on one of the saved files and my VLC player just went nuts, flashing and doing the quck-step auto-cycle so of course I closed it right away. There seems to be no option to save any of the recipes I have made in any file extension that my Windows 7 can open; I lost a few before I figured this out and now just bring up Notepad and type everything in before I close the EJMU program. It would be SO much easier if the files could be saved in a format that Windows 7 recognizes and can open or if those files were not shown as being open-able by the VCL media player, which of course they are not. Is there any way out of this mess other than just continuing to type everything into Notepad?

I don't know about the calculator, so there may be a better solution, but you can change default file associations (which program opens a file) in Windows 7 by right clicking any file that has the extension whose associations you want to change. Hover over "Open with" in the context menu, and the click "Choose default program..." That gives you a dialogue box that might have a few choices for programs to use, but probably not the one you want, so if not click the "Browse..." button and navigate to the program. If you do not know the program's file location, you can find that by right clicking on its shortcut and selecting "Properties" and reading the text in the "Target" field.

If you just want to try that once to see if it works, uncheck the box for "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file." If you want to make the change permanent, leave that box checked.

The recipe files are saved as .rec not .dft. The .dft is the saved default recipe template. To open or assoiate either file with ejuice me up do the following.

Right click on the file select "properties" and press the "Change" button. If ejuice me up is not in the list then click the "Browse" button and navigate to the "C:\Program Files\Breaktru Software\eJuice Me Up\" folder and select "eJuice Me Up.exe"

Or

You can open ejuice me up and select "file" then "open" and navigate to the folder where your recipes are stored. Then double click on the recipe you want to open.
