3mm Ekowool from stormyvaporcellar.com, .8mm ribbon from Resistance Wire, 30AWG Silver from Fine Silver Wire for Jewelry, Wire Wrapping, Earrings by Rio Grande Jewelry Making Supplies
Ok. Done. Hollow eko with .5 ribbon wire. I have to admit, I HATE it. Well, with Boba's anyway. The eko is NOT wicking, not keeping up, no matter how the MP is adjusted and how open it is. This is the polar opposite of what the cotton filled eko wicked like. I mean, 2 pulls, then dry. Wait, lay it down, whatever. 2-3 pulls, then dry. For those not familiar, Bobas is my wick eater - VG at it's best. This setup may be better suited for a VG/PG blend. I'll keep working it for the night.
But here are some pics.
Guys so the fuss About ekowool is that it tastes better than silica and lasts longer? But in terms of wicking silica is better? Just trying to understand.
Can you dry burn with the Twik? And how about pre torching. I never boiled my Eko only torched.
Subver you don't know exactly if the wicking is better because of ekowool or krinkle. That should be confirmed.
So far I prefer the German-made silica wick but I really wish the Ekowool would come through. We will see after the second trial, and this time I will stabilize the Ekowool so that I don't wrap the coils onto it too tight.
