Howdy Airheads. :)
Well, we ended up with probably close to 2 feet of snow here. I probably won't be able to get out of my driveway tomorrow to go to work. Bummer. :D
You still got power? I got family near Raleigh, they're sitting around shivering in the dark!

That's a great chart! You have 29 awg K1 at the same resistance as 28 awg, looks like a copy and paste issue, sites I've looked at show 29 awg as 6.55 ohms/ft:
Kanthal A1 Resistance Wire (AWG 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 33 & 34 - 3 Feet)

yepper, saw that too way back when I made that chart
double checked it, then just moved on (not knowing nothing, all I could do is wonder)
so that makes MUCH more sense (your chart)

I kinda, in my mind, think I'd like 7.00 ohms/ft
closest I see is NiC 30g (6.76)
so the thicker 29g K (6.55) might be 'just what the doc ordered'

so many variables... tuff to be a vapor'er

Yup. Never lost it.
Here's hoping your family gets their's back soon. :)
Glad you have power, LVM and so sorry for those who don't. I can't imagine in this kind of weather. YIKES.
Such a shame you won't be able to go to work tomorrow! :D
We didn't get ANY snow here in the Detroit 'burbs. In fact, the sun has been trying to make an appearance now and then.
I'm ready for Spring.

Hiya Nanny.
The only thing I'm not liking about this weather is that I haven't been able to see my Little Nugget. :(

Yup. I buy mine from Temco (great quality and free shipping--what's not to like)--their specs for Kanthal A1 round below:

Kanthal A1

so the thicker 29g K (6.55) might be 'just what the doc ordered'

Happy middle. :)

Hope you get to see the Nugget soon, LVM!
Lynn, will you get a day off tomorrow or are things clear enough for the drive? I have relatives in the hills of KY and unless the temps warm up and melt that snow, they won't be going anywhere for a while.
I'm debating Nanny...I've had folks to tell me the roads that lead to and the one the plant is off of are bad. They'll be real bad at 5 in the morning. I'm seriously thinking of just taking a personal day tomorrow. I have to work next Saturday anyway so I'll have a full 5 day paycheck. But..that paycheck isn't enough to fix my car or me if I wind up in a ditch.

More than likely I won't be going. I've talked to some people that live in the same town as I do and work at the same place. They aren't going in either. I think I'll tell Laura to just leave Noah here with me so she won't be on the road(not as early as I would have to be on them plus hers are scraped roads) with him.

it'll be clear sailing with temps reaching 50 later on in the day but not at 5am ;)

Oh...we had a fatality today. I had given Colton a brand new GS-M for Christmas as a stocking stuffer. He went to get in the car, didn't realize his mod had slid out of his pocket, shut the door on the tank. :( I gave him another one of mine so now I'm short one.

True. But if I take a personal day it's for all day. If I don't take a personal day and clock in late, it's an occurence. Not good!
