Is yours acrylic? Vaping any tank cracker liquids?
Nope, unflavored mixed with strawberry. I noticed it before its first fill. Filled to see how bad it is. I'm going to give the store a chance to resolve the issue before I post where I purchased from. This tank is built tight so that may have been the issue. Or the padded envelope, but the box was undamaged. Any of you on real computers, can you see a crack where the polycarbonate meets the black metal below the fill plug? The crack goes all the way around the front and then takes a 45°turn up behind the two screws in the base.

That is the definition of heart breaking...sorry to hear that with a new tank.:(
Thanks man.

I'll get a replacement or buy another. I heard of plastic problems with the authentic versions as well. If the vendor won't replace it in going to use super glue to get by.

The good news is it delivers a warm dense vapor at low watts. I built a .75 ohm 24 gauge coil and at 17.5 watts it's blowing my doors off. The coil is way too hot for me so the next build will be 1.5 - 2 ohms. The wicking will take a little time to figure out as I've never dealt with this style of deck and I'm running a bit on the dry side while chain vaping.

I'm thinking super glue and electrical tape will make it look classy.

Works for repairing silk neck ties, so ought to be good for vape gear. Hell, you get daring, you could even use it on a canteloupe, but some people might think that's a litle kinky.

Ok then, I've been waiting to hear Bike's thoughts on his TC 40.

You asked for it..:) ....From the Eleaf istick part 2 thread:
I've had my TC40 for a few days and I have to say I like it very much. It performs great in VW mode and has enough power to run whatever I put on it. Great battery life. It is the most simple to use for TC. A quick and easy setup. Just lock in your coil res by holding the buttons and it stays there until you lock in a new resistance. The TC performs flawlessly and is easy to switch back and forth from VW if you wanna change attys by pressing once on the menu button. I expected to have to crank it up over 500 to get a warm vape because most people say that's the case for them. I like it fine at 430 where I usually vape the SX Mini or Vapor Shark. Maybe because I'm usin a dual twisted .06 ohm nickel coil. The claim is longer battery life in TC mode but I haven't seen that to be the case yet. It seems to use the battery quicker than VW mode but then again it could be my low build. People are sayin it's a good intro mod for TC, but I say it is a great mod for TC. It holds temperature as well as any other and will vape a wick completely dry without burning. All the safety features work including the one to prevent firing a low ohm nicoil in VW mode. Zero issues so far
Thumbs up on this one. Best VW/TC deal around. :2c:
The biggest benefit for me is I don't get any more nasty dry burned hits. I chain vape sometimes and some wicks don't keep up well enough. Also I tend to vape a tank low before I fill it at times and occasionally get a dry hit that way. I like that I can vape a wick dry and change flavors without much carryover flavor. Claims are made that your juice and battery will last longer because of better efficiency but I haven't realized that yet. Also I don't get any noticeable flavor benefit but the vape is more consistent. In VW the longer your hit, the hotter the vape is. In TC it remains the same temp throughout the vape. In theory coils should gunk less and last longer as well as the battery life. I think better and cheaper TC coils will improve the experience and prove to be more efficient. Maybe even kanthal temp control will make it more popular but it looks like things are leanin in the direction of TC. Not just for cloud chasers. :)
If you're happy with what you got, keep usin it. Prices will get better. Mods, tanks, and coils will get better and cheaper. But the fact is TC is for any style of vaping. TC mods are capable of high power vaping and you can experiment with settings, custom coils and attys. But the TC40 makes it simple and tanks like the GS Airs make it simple. Just buy the coil heads and plug and play. Tootle puff away. :)
I like the way the SX Mini performs in TC better because it's PWM. Not that much better, especially 170 bucks better. :) But compared to the VaporShark and Evic, it's equal and even better because of the size. It reaches the preset temp with 40w instantly then drops to 18w, 12w, 17w etc. to maintain it depending on how you draw air through it. The Evic would just go instantly to temp protection then back on, which in my opinion is cutting the power completely off. The TC40, if not drawing on it, will reach temp with 40w then drop to maybe 18, 14, 12, and then temp protect if no air is flowing, which makes me think that is a more appropriate and better action for a chip to produce for temp control. The SX Mini shows temperature and steady power. If drawing on it, the temp stays constant around the preset. If you fire it without drawing the temp drops to around half the preset and doesn't go into temp protect. It just pulses the power slower to prevent overheating the coil. It will only show temp protect and cut off with a dry atomizer display when the wick dries out completely. The TC40 is much simpler to use than any of them and much cheaper so it is my choice because it still does the same job. I still get 6 to 8 hours on a charge with a twisted .06 ohm build in an ST Mini but that would probably be more with a higher ohm single wire coil. I also chain vape more than not. In the case of TC mods, more money will only get you more battery life:2c:

Crap, I thought this was the iStick thread. Sorry airheads.

Is it suitable for MTL vaping? The building deck looks kayfunish. But then, they all do! Seven mls! Whew!

So sorry that it cracked already, Super!
