Howdy @aldenf ! I didn't realize there was any actual reasoning behind the capacity on the GS tanks, I thought perhaps they were just going for aesthetics. Function is way more important than convenience, for sure. Alrighty then - I will try to not complain!
I'm with you Nanny, I'll stop carping about tank capacity...or try to.
It is a good point, 2.5 to 3 ml does last for some time.

I'm with the understanding that the rebuilt 1.5s out-vape all of the stock heads.

I don't think that most users would enjoy a GS with greater than 3ml capacity as it reduces liquid feed (vacuum thing). This is why Zen has limited his $90 HoH Kaubuki to 3ml. I'll give up a bit of capacity for overall better performance any day. That being said, I'm vaping primarily unflavored nowadays (while out-and-about), so most tanks work well for me.
spend 20 minutes trying to get the cap off & couldn't, I don't think rebuildings for me:)

One thing I do not understand.
apparently the GS AIR 2 19 mm does not have an AFC ring but the 14mm ones I have does...

I'm with you. I don't get it either. I'm sure Eleaf has some kind of reasoning behind it. But I'll be darned if I can imagine a good reason beyond manufacturing/materials/assembly costs.

The cap is the pain in rebuilding the Air coils. Once off, it's much easier to remove after that.
Not much help to you though. have you viewed the videos in my blog for cap removal?

I'd like to hear more opinions on the .75 ohm coils, too. Just have not tried them as they are new, and I am pretty content with rebuilt 1.5's in the GS Tank. (Wish they had come up with better names to distinguish these tanks from each other! More than that I wish the GS Tank held a little more juice!)
It's sure nice to have so many options, though.
Remember, you gotta have the dash in there for that one. (GS-Tank). Just sayin'.

Yay that short video worked for me. I guess it's more about angling it for leverage to pop it off, rather than pulling straight. I didn't even need a wrench! thanks

I ordered one of each of new GS Air 2's, 14 mm, 16 mm, and 19 mm. They should be coming anyday now. I want to be able to compare them to each other and the older GS Airs. They all come with the .75 Ohm coil though, so we shall see how that goes. My current favorite coil is the 1.5.

Six weeks! You are the frugal vapist!
I was doing about 8 ml/day thru it.
the way those little coils and tanks perform is why it is the only coil I use that I am currently not rebuilding. But saving my cores for rebuilding ;)
gonna stop by Dollar Tree tomorrow and get some of that non woven gauze.

I want to hear what you think on these coils, Jingles! We like a lot of the same liquids, so I am wondering if the flavor changes with the lower ohm and cotton coil.

What flavor? Something light I would imagine.
My own Recipe VC.
a 120 ml batch.
4 ml CAP VC V1
1.5 ml CAP Vanilla whipped Cream.
12 drops GNC liquid Stevia.
3 ml 100mg nic.
and 50/50 for the balance of 120 ml.

Using it in an Istick Basic which runs at raw battery voltage.

I will definitely report back in a week or two. Going to keep an open mind and likely up the Watts a little..

I don't have mesh. Is it ok to just wash the old liner, let it dry and reuse?
I haven't tried that, so I have no opinion other than you don't have anything to lose.
After drying, you can also split the liner in half to make it easier to reinstall.
You don't have to let them dry after rinsing them either, the juice will displace the
water when You prime it after reassembly and the moistened liner material might be
easier to reinstall being a little wet,
I'm picturing a tiny clothes line with the liners hanging from it drying in the breeze. :)
