Bea, if you are gonna keep "washing" your coils then I would put a pitch-count on them _" Don't let them get dirty "
just run them for say maybe a tank or so then replace with another washed one, etc.
doing it SOONER will not allow a build up that is hard to rinse off... - jus sayin

another trick I taught myself (cause I'm cheap)

so NOT to waste the cleaner , I used an old ejuice bottle and the cap

the coil fits INTO the cap perfect which allows use of Minimum cleaner (vodka) but allow it to be fully submerged

fill the bottle with some cheap vodka, everclear (etc) then put the cap on, good to go for several cleanings...

By the way are you using that little black ohm meter with the 510 pin to test? I still need to buy one.

This is the one I have Bea. Niiiiice! It's very reliable and it isn't junk. I wouldn't recommend paying a little less for something that isn't precise or will just break in a short period of time... cb

I find a q-tip and water works wonders for cleaning a dis-assembled coil.

If you have a regulated mod like an iStick you do not need a Ω-meter.

I don't think recoiling the 1.5s are difficult at all. My EOMV2 and CLR coils are coming in the mail today but I still see myself continuing to use the GS tanks/coils for a very long time.

honestly, I'm surprised ya'll put up with the work involved with making those continue to work...

I gave it up some time ago with the aspire 'bvc' coils (same design) that annoyed me

The problem is, the coils may not be available to buy pretty darn soon! You will always be able to buy rayon, cotton and the various wires though, even o-rings will be available! Mods, coils, and ejuice not so sure!

Thanks Puff, this is very helpful. I've been washing them weekly but your suggestion makes a lot of sense. It's always easier to wash something that isn't really dirty. And thanks for taking the time to post those links.

@IMRs and @rocketman29 thanks for the link and suggestions. My daily device is a provari but I also have an istick for back up (Plus backups for the backups ). But I've read differing opinions on the advisability of using my mods to test ohms. Hubby, being a retired handyman, says buy a tester so that's what I'll do.

That's the one hubby feels comfortable with . He's a good guy. He knows I just spent a boat load of money and is ok with it. I think I'll keep him

tell ya'll what; todays mail,I got my SS and BLK v2 tanks and to compliment them also got full BLK and brushed SS Picos
it looks like a kit and is very sexy - a perfect match & fit (hope to get some pics here soon)

the v2 base x-fits into the older ego one tank - 4ml (that's cool!)
no coil, drip tips are nice heavy metal, when you pull the tip off, top is flat as compared to older domed
looks to be very nicely built...
