Mine should be here tomorrow. I notice both of you run at 9-10watts, what's the vape like at 15-20watts? What do you recommend cleaning them with, I have isopropyl alcohol?

- 15-20w - I don't know - until someone can edumucate me differently, I'm assuming that isn't necessarily safe.
- For alcohol, I use - vodka.

I ordered 2 more tanks and another 20 watt iStick. It works great at 15 watts. I keep it a bit lower since I'm a chain vapor and it does start getting hot if I keep it at 15. I go more for flavor and increasing the watts doesn't give me better flavor. It actually stays the same. It does put out more vapor.

I rinsed my tank out with water last night. Let it sit for 30 minutes and it was good to refill.

I keep mine cruising at 3.9v / 9.5w.

Yeah - this tank is a hidden gem. I see all this dialog with people spending 20, 30 dollars a tank, and this 10 dollar tank really seems to deliver.
Seems very rugged, too.

Ive got tons of tanks. Including a very large collection of expensive carto tanks. I still use and love them but the GS Air is just amazing. So much easier to fill, works great at all recommended Watts. I can't do that with a carto tank! That's one of the reasons why this works so great on the iStick. It runs hotter at lower settings so I have to readjust for my carto tanks. With the GS Air it works great at all settings. I used to take a couple of egos with an EVOD or Protank when out and about since I don't like carrying around my Provaris and expensive carto tanks. Now it's the iStick and the GS Air. But I also use it constantly at home while I never use an EVOD at home.

I also have a lot of AeroTank Megas, GeniTank Megas, Nautilus original and mini, and 2 Kanger sub tanks on the way. I had ordered the large size before they came out with the smaller versions. Neither one has arrived since they got stuck in California for some reason. If I'd found the GS Air first it would have saved me a lot of money. Not to mention all of the different coils I have to keep in stock.

Great report Bukket. I, for one, would love a follow-up after you get to try at least some of your other purchases.
"Clearos" sure have come a long way -- and Bedazzled is decorating tubes for some of them. :toast:

On the Iso cleaning --- Here's my :2c:

Not a problem at all for the tank -- but not so good for the coil head. So, take the coil out and then you can clean with soap and water, isopropyl or vodka. Dry, re-insert coil head, fill and vape away. :)

The most important thing with isopropyl is you don't want to vape it, and according to some, not even it's remaining residue after evaporating. We all know isopropyl evaporates quickly, but inside a coil head? How can we be sure--it could take days even in a warm environment.

Vodka that hasn't fully evaporated will become vapor as you use the device. You may get a touch more throat hit for a couple of puffs -- but that's all. Even traces of water (please, no soap), can be vaped off -- the vaper is just a bit weak/wimpy.

Should be fine, their rated 8W-20W. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

For whatever it is worth - at those ohms, 15 - 20w is squarely in the red to dark red zone on a power chart.
Between that and what the latest study on formaldehyde at high power tried to claim, I don't think it's worth pushing it up that far.

As far as I'm concerned, until someone can give me more science, all this high wattage talk simply yields a longer lasting battery, not an opportunity to crank it up.

YMMV.

I'm still trying to understand all this myself, but since these are dual coils (2x 3.0ohm coils), the single coil ohms law charts do not apply?

for me, 8-11w is perfect..

Have any of you experienced any issues with the airflow?

"IMPORTANT NOTE: The adjustable airflow did not work properly in testing, and other pre-release reviews online have found the same results. Due to this, we can make no guarantee the adjustable airflow will work."

Air flow on mine was right for me right out of the box.

Same for me. The air flow is great right where it is. I happened to have my small screwdriver out so I opened it up a bit more, it was too airy, and I put it back where it was at the start. It seems to be about the same as the Nautilus on the largest setting. I'm still amazed at the clouds of vapor this little thing makes!

My Kanger Subtank Mini arrived today. It's nice. Not very mini. Lol. Matches my mod and drip tip. The taste is pretty good. I'm using the 1.2 ohm coil though and it doesn't create as much vapor as a carto tank. I guess I'm going to have to try the .5 ohm coil. I really wasn't looking to get into subohming though.

If I had to choose I'd go with the GS Air. It's just a great tank at a great price. And if you're using an iStick then you really need to treat yourself to one.

What "power chart" are you referencing that shows a "red zone" based on watts in relation to resistance? 15-20 watts should be the same vape regardless of the resistance since the voltage changes (ohm's law and whatnot)...

Are these the same coils that go in the E-grip? Anyone know what the wicking material is made of?

These aren't the "official" joy tech egrip coils, but they are the only coils that I use in my egrip.
