I have an eGrip.. I like the CS coils but haven't taken one apart yet. another reason to get these clearomizers... will be nice to have only one type of replacement coils to buy!

Exactly what I said about Aspire coils..... and you guys aren't helping! The temptation increases...
I am DEFINITELY not the best person to talk to about temptation...remember our trist down the 30W lane?? Just bought this "sleeper" tank about an hour ago.
shhhh (whispering) do it, do it, do it.
Ok, Madame Siren, do tell me this: Why will I prefer this tank to a Naughty Mini?
These aren't the "official" joy tech egrip coils, but they are the only coils that I use in my egrip.

What "power chart" are you referencing that shows a "red zone" based on watts in relation to resistance? 15-20 watts should be the same vape regardless of the resistance since the voltage changes (ohm's law and whatnot)...
Are these the same coils that go in the E-grip? Anyone know what the wicking material is made of?

That would be this chart, I presume:

However, this chart applies to single stock coils only. And since dual coil atties consist of two coils of twice the resistance of that of the atty, higher wattages are recommended, i.e., a 1.8Ω DC atty has two 3.6Ω coils configured in parallel. More on the subject in the link provided above, if anyone is interested.

For whatever it is worth - at those ohms, 15 - 20w is squarely in the red to dark red zone on a power chart.
Between that and what the latest study on formaldehyde at high power tried to claim, I don't think it's worth pushing it up that far.
As far as I'm concerned, until someone can give me more science, all this high wattage talk simply yields a longer lasting battery, not an opportunity to crank it up.
YMMV.
Hmmm... This begs a question... If the egrip coils work in this tank, would the egrip rebuildable deck work also? I understand the two are interchangeable in the egrip.
Hiya Pokemom--followed you guys here from the other thread.![]()
See post 48 above--you're not really vaping at 15-20 watts; rather 7.5-10 watts (per coil). Nothing to worry about.
Is that science or speculation? I'm thinking that's not correct, but I'd love to be wrong.
Hmm, Katya, good question. As you know, I don't know anything about the build deck. But I was "this" close to buying one today when I was ordering the tank.
Science. Physics. Honest. A 1.5 dual coil consists of two 3Ω coils. I promise.
It is correct and you're wrong.

On paper, it should work, no?
I'm going to get the GS tank, but I'm very tempted to order the egrip deck also. I prefer single coils, anyway, and having an option to rebuild (or just install premade and pre-wicked Joyetech coils) would be a good thing.![]()

Same for me. The air flow is great right where it is. I happened to have my small screwdriver out so I opened it up a bit more, it was too airy, and I put it back where it was at the start. It seems to be about the same as the Nautilus on the largest setting. I'm still amazed at the clouds of vapor this little thing makes!
My Kanger Subtank Mini arrived today. It's nice. Not very mini. Lol. Matches my mod and drip tip. The taste is pretty good. I'm using the 1.2 ohm coil though and it doesn't create as much vapor as a carto tank. I guess I'm going to have to try the .5 ohm coil. I really wasn't looking to get into subohming though.
If I had to choose I'd go with the GS Air. It's just a great tank at a great price. And if you're using an iStick then you really need to treat yourself to one.
