Okay, I refused to give up this cute GS Air for so long. Tried everything from washing tank to replacing coils etc etc bla bla but that odd flavor was still there.
Just yesterday, I finally got a 50/50 juice and filled up this tank with it. Ahhhh.... the flavor is better. The odd taste seem to be minimized. Compared it to Aspire ET-S BVC and the flavor is the same for both.
Meaning that GSA does not take high VG juices well? So that the odd taste is in fact the VG itself? I am now dead curious what a high VG vape without the flavors taste like? Anyone know?

On another note, I also got the GS16S, a very short BDC tank and confirmed the bottom base is interchangeable with the GS-Air. With the overfilling trick, I was able to put about 2 ml into GS16S with GS-Air base. Worked out very good and this little tank is SO CUTE!

20 ml so far on my first coil and still no signs of flavor or vapor going south. But I vape very clean and clear juices.

Still, quite impressive.

I'm having a hard time getting my 1st coil to 20ml... can't put down my K4

Seriously, though, I'd like to have a larger capacity GS Air with maybe easier airflow control.

And less 'wooshing'. I'll wait until you fine folks review the new airs to see. (said knowing the buy button will be going 'clicky' anyway ha)

I mix my own juice in all VG and in order to accomadate the Air I added distilled water to my mix to wick better.
Might try that. I was advised about a drop per ML, I think I added more than that though...

Fasttech sells what they call an Authentic GS Air. It;s actually the GS16 top and GS Air coil and bottom. I have one and I like the look. Wife has an actual GS Air.

Ugh... I picked up one of these GS Air tanks as well as a pack of coils after skimming through this thread. At the beginning of this year, I bought a second Joyetech Egrip, telling myself this is my LAST purchase for a while since I have way too much stuff and spent way too much money. Since then, I've purchased an iStick 30 watt, Joyetech Ego One, two large orders of juice, more coils, a Lemo Drop, a Kanger Subtank Nano, and now this GS tank and coils. I justify it with the fact the GS coils will also work in my Egrip. AHHH.... it'll never end. Vaping has been supremely more expensive than smoking for me.

I just want to know who is the smart "alek" who said it was going to be cheaper than cigs!! :D

My experience was the performance improves a bit over time.
I never did really have a coil that got to the point of tapering off, but I started rebuilding them...

I'm interested to hear other's input on how long they have gotten out of a coil?

Cheechako, I've not had mine for enuf time to really give this a sturdy evaluation, but one of mine has seen 4 fills and the other is sweetly singing after 7 fills.

I'm keeping track, so we'll see!

Dad, this one? $8.65 Authentic Eleaf GS Air Bottom Coil Clearomizer - 2.5ml / 1.5ohm / silver + translucent at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Marcus agree, agree. Such a sensational little tank and I'd love to see it just a bit larger in capacity.

Kat I spend like crazy on this stuff and still come out in the black, but I did smoke WAY too much 2.2 PAD @ $4.50 a pack really adds up! :)

The GS Air on Fasttech is chromed brass. The Authentic Authentic version, sold by US vendors, is stainless steel. Fasttech Discussion mentions it possibly being a pre-production model.

Well, I dunno.....I am highly skeptical that mine is stainless steel. I bought mine from Sweet Vapes. I'm leaning towards chromed brass. Where are you seeing this advertised as stainless steel? Not that it matters to me either way really.

EDIT: Yup...verified it's chromed brass. You can scratch the base with a knife easily and the chrome will come right off.

Discount Vapers was one of them. Perhaps the problem is my understanding of the term "stainless steel material". Sorry!

Main site says nothing about stainless steel: GS Air Atomizer

The US site for eleaf doesn't currently sell the GS Air, however is does state that the GS 16 is "made of quality materials like steel and Pyrex glass" while the main site doesn't say anything. https://www.eleafus.com/atomizer/gs16-atomizer.html

I would be more inclined to say chromed brass myself, and that doesn't bother me..

No worries ..... I tend to think the center tube and the cross piece at the bottom holding the center tube might be stainless. So even DV might be telling a partial truth. Some of the material might be stainless. But the base of the tank is definitely chromed brass. If I had skills to post pics, I would do so. But , I scratched mine with a knife to verify.

Oh my God! You...you scratched it! On purpose! Just kidding!
Thank you for finding out, mine doesn't feel or heft like stainless steel.
But the taste...Hmmmm.

I don't want to scratch mine since I just got these. It's easy to see they are chrome plated. But do you see brass underneath or are they steel?

I can see the gold color underneath. It's brass. Very soft chrome too. My stuff gets beat up anyways..... so scratching it just gave it a little character.
