I came home from work to my delivered 29 gauge Kanthal, 6 wraps on the pink, purple, violet needle, stuffed with rayon and reassembled...
Just wow...came out at 1.2 ohms, running 25 watts on the 30W, very nice!
It's a little warm for me, but performing like a champ!

Morning, passing Ladies and settling Gent. May your Air be heady, or your heads be airy, or at least get a nice strong cup of coffee. I sure need one. The new feline family member stalks my toes by night. And—take note Nanny and IMRs—she adamently refuses to wear the tie dye pjs your fine selves sent her.

Edit: GS Air question). . . One of my Ms, or the coily entrails, have been acting strangely.
After putting up with the anomaly for A few days, I exchanged it. Just curious about what was going on.
1- Coil was properly installed, primed, and it worked. After a fashion.
2- No gurgles, floods, locusts, pops or leaks.
3- Ohms were always reading 1.5 or 1.6.
4- Top washer, lower o-ring and grommet appear to be in great shape (perhaps not quite so fit and trim as Tibs, after a day of side dressing rhubarb with donkey dung...but still, in very good shape.)
5- In summary, no signs of a dead, wounded, or psychologically troubled coil.
But...It only produced about a third to a half the normal volume of vapor, at any AFC setting.

I took it out, replaced it with another coil, and...Voilà! Lots of vapor.
Just curious. Since everything appeared to be working, except for the primary point of being a vapor-making thingamajig...what was going on?

Gran, I've had some like that and usually by turning the heat up and running the airflow wide open and with a few really hard pulls would settle itself. Then I could put everything back like it was.
Good morning Lynn, and thanks. Tried that. Didn't change anything.

Was the flavor affected? Did it taste off? Even tootle puffers need a minimum amount of vapor...

might be one of the coils that has the inner sheath... I typically found those in official eGrip CS coils, but some have reported them to come with the Air tanks from time to time. that inner sheath totally kills vapor production- take it apart?

I have torn possibly 30 to 40 coils apart and the inner sheath was rare, maybe 8-10 I found.
Wondered why it was in some and not all or the majority...now I wonder if it had to do with nr-r-nr legs on the coils
and was used as insulation. I should have looked closer.
I wonder how these inhibit vapor production?

Those linguistic gurus (Gee You Are YOU! ~ G U R U) I shot at above have invented a term for your colloquial usage: overnegation. Read all about it here: Language Log: Why are negations so easy to fail to miss?

I'm wondering if it was a possible affront against standard or formal register grammar,
or just a lexical transposition. As Elvie-Emm will be happy to tell you, just as soon as she finishes heaving that heavy crystal ashtray at me, I ought to stick to Portuguese and Italian, and leave the grammar to the experts.

An fuddermore, I think she was just funnin on you, Lynn.

Edit: Psssst! Ask her where the verb is in "Oh the grammar", which seems to be missing two punctuation marks if it's exclammatory.
Guilty as charged, Gran.
Funnin I was, indeed.
Sorry Lynn. No harm meant. :D

I could also say that right now, I don't give f**k but I'm too lady like for that one even if it's true!:lol::lol::lol: Sorry!!
For the record, I don't trust people who don't swear. :D

My former father-in-law was from Pittsburgh and his grammar was abominable. It physically pained me to hear him talk.
