I refuse to add it up but I wouldn't be surprised if I've spent more vaping. It's not just hardware, it's juices I gotta try and DIY supplies I gotta have including 60+ flavors cause I can't make up my mind. Then there's this drip tip addiction that out paces the mods I have ... on and on. And then I have to convert other smokers so I have a place to PIF older gear until they get addicted. The cycle never ends.

Darn it! One of my 3 GSAirs has a crack in the glass. It's a pretty big crack, so I am sure it is on it's way out real soon.. Not sure how it happened. I didn't drop it or anything. It was in my vape case while I was at work and in a cubby hole in my car on the way home. Maybe the cold air got to it? Oh well, they are cheap enough to replace or I will just wait for the GSAir M's to come out.

I'm afraid those are not Eleaf/iSmoka coils. Usually when FT lists an authentic product, they call it "authentic" Kanger or Eleaf or whatever. When a product is listed as 'Kanger style" or "for Eleaf GS," that indicates a clone/copy/knockoff. Which doesn't necessarily mean that the product is bad--just that it isn't original.

Hi Katya,

The ones I ordered from FT are SKU 2095900. They came in two green and white boxes with the eleaf logo on the front. They look genuine to me, but I have yet to use one as the one that came with the GS-Air is doing fine. When I try one I'll let you know what I think of them. They do LOOK genuine, however.

The coils with these GS Airs are amazing. My first one lasted me 2 weeks with juice that normally gunks my Naut coils in less than 2 tanks.
I took it out and rinsed under really hot water for several minutes, let it dry for a couple days then put it in my other tank and it is like a brand new coil. I am on day 3 of the reused coil and still no loss of flavor.
If they are coming out with a larger version of the tank and keeping the same coil, I am definitely in.

Hi folks! I can't believe I just read this entire thread from beginning to end, but I did.

I had just taken my first puff of the GS Air and needed to figure out the air control and here I am at the end:facepalm:

Anyway, a big thank you to all the folks who have been talking this up on other threads, because I love it. I wish I hadn't tried a new flavor in it, so I could compare, but I'll get there. I may have to order another one (or two) next payday. :toast:

Just reporting in-- First coil finally wore out (maybe) after 7.5 days of use @ roughly 7 to 10 ml/day.
For the imprecise scientists in the room, that's in the 55 to 75 ml range.
Taking the advice of the washers, I'm giving the defunct (?) coil a hot bath and
will see if that resuscitates it after a nice air dry, the usual incantations in Mainuh English
and maybe português brasileiro and a few strong expressions in montañés for good measure.
Have been puffing a clear juice at 6 to 9.5 watts, and enjoying it a lot.
Many thanks for all the good advice.

Rebuild video: A little tedious...

Nice Cheechako!
Thanks for taking the time to make/share the video. (and killing a brand new coil ha)
And good thinking speeding up the video for quick presentation (windows movie maker?)
16 gauge needle, not sure what ID that is. (guessing around 2.0 mm)
And how many wraps? Guess you could add a few more to get closer to 1.6-1.8 ohms.
And that's a fat wick. Probably need it like that with the rayon and to minimize gurgles.
Wonder if washing and re-using the outer liner layer might be good for a few rebuilds?

You da man!

No idea what size the needle is in measurements, just found something the same size as the coil slot.
I believe it was 8 wraps, 9 will take it to 1.5.
Rayon works great in these coils! The outer wrap prevents gurgling and flooding.
I did rewash the outer wrap once or twice when I first rebuilt them, but found the non-woven pads allow better wicking.
Thank you!

Off the charts excellent.

Now, if it was 3 times the size, I'd maybe try that, too. [I'm a very old 50 something, as far as eyes and hands, I'm afraid.]

How does it taste?

I too am a very old 50 something, I think it tastes better than the stock coils and wicks better
since I use as close to 100% VG as possible.

Thats awesome! Thanks ;)

When building the coil are the leads both on the same side or is one over and one under?

One over and one under, exactly the same way I rebuild coils for my Mini protanks.
