Agreed, higher two decimal place resolution may or may not mean higher accuracy. My istick30s have always read within +/- 0.1 ohms of the stated coil resistance but we know coils vary as well. I need to check it with a high accuracy digital low resistance ohmmeter one day at work :)

The Defender is reading too low and the istick is reading too high. Each off about the same amount. The correct resistance is about 1.23ohms. They should both be reading about 8.1w/3.16v
Unless you're reading his exact coil with a DLRO there's no way you can know this. I presume you've measured one of your own and coils aren't super accurate with the stamped resistance.

When I first got my Kangxin VF Mini, I thought it was Cool that it Reads Ohms to 3 Decimal Places.

I could look down and see I was using a 1.210 or a .980 or 1.520 Ohm coil. Very High Tech.

Then about a week later I realized that the 3rd Decimal Place was actually the Ohm Symbol.

It all boils down to this... Put your Istick in watt control and push buttons until you like the vape lol
That's what I do David. If it's too cool, I turn it up, too warm turn it dow....ahhh just right...leave it there and lock it.

Well I guess I do now with your warning, he had me there haha. Funny thing is I bet if we were to measure that coil with an accurate meter he would probably be close lol.

There is no way that you can know that I don't know this. :) You presume wrong. It would be futile to measure any given coil because there is so much fluctuation between them.... between coils and different manufacturers. But I do find that on average the isticks I've checked read .07ohms higher than the readings on both my Evic and SX Mini M (which are both identical to one hundredth of an ohm). The SX Mini reads to .001 ohm. Nothin like a megger but maybe accurate enough to make an educated guess. Thanks for callin me out on it. I thought I would get away with it. :)

Someone please fill me in....what difference does all this make? Please? I'm totally clueless here.

Stick shift or automatic?

Paper or plastic?

Stirred or shaken?

Seriously, the Ohm's law can't be defied. Wattage = voltage squared divided by resistance--if your battery can supply the amps needed. If not, something will have to give. Other than that, six of one... :)

Automatic? You've got to be kidding, or lacking a left foot.

Neither. Recycled cloth.

Neither.

High wing or low? Low, of course.

Ohm's law: Ommmm mani padme hum.

Leaking and a Burnt Taste usually don't go Together.

You might check to see if the e-Liquid Inlet Slots on the Outer Barrel are lined up with the Wick Slot on the Inner Body.

Take a Pin or Small Needle and give the Sleeve Wick a Gentle Poke thru the outer Slot. If you feel Metal, the Outer Slot in the Barrel is not lined up with the Inner Slot.

I won't argue that it doesn't make sense but in all the prior discussions on rebuilding the GS coils, I've never heard this before.

What say you Cheechmesiter?

I got dry hits easier if I didn't line the slots up, though it will still wick pretty decently. Since I tried it both ways, I have always attempted to line them up anyway. I only tested 2 coil heads..so not a very extensive test.

About the Only way I can think of a Tank Leaking and getting Dry Hits at the Same Time would be if the Leaking Isn't coming thru the Coil. But thru a Seal below the Coil.

Because if the Leaking was coming thru the Coil, the Coil would Flood. And it is Pretty Hard to get a Dry Hit with a Flooded Coil.

Like I said. Sometimes the Unexplained Mysteries of Tank/Coil Phenomena can Only be Explained by Bad Planetary Alignment.

So perhaps Mercury is in Retrograde while Saturn in a Vernal Equinox.

I Dunno?
