did it this morning! had to pull off a lot of the cotton from the q-tip to get it in the airhole, but everything else worked the same! whoo hoo!

I just tried that, and it really works great! I bet I got an extra mil of liquid in my tank by doing it that way. That was a great tip, Katya! And good thinking on modding the q-tip, solace.discord! :)

I used to love my T3 and eVods but I have moved on to Kanger glass clearomizers--both single and dual coils. I think all eliquids taste better in glass tanks. Also, the dual coil clearos come with improved airflow. They all can be rewicked or rebuilt.

Now that you mention it, I've thought about trying out the Aerotank or Genitank (sounds like they are similar) for quite awhile now, but with all the hype lately, I thought it might be better to go with something newer, which is why I tried the subtank. Now I'm looking at Aerotank reviews and they sound a lot closer to the way I vape and with their 1.5 and 1.8 coils, they should work fine on my iStick. Thanks for the reminder. A larger Aerotank could make a good companion to my GS Air for those times when I'm out and want more juice capacity.

Yeah. Those subs are really not suitable for us mouth to lung vapers. :(

I'm sure that all the manufacturers will eventually come to their senses and offer tanks and coils for lower-wattage crowd. It's only a matter of time.

I'm also pretty sure that GS Air coils can be rebuilt.

I'm going to definitely investigate that. In the meantime, my first GS Air coil is now on Day 6 and is vaping as well as it did on Day 1! I have yet to rinse it, dry burn it, or anything else. If these coils are longer lasting, I may not even hassle with rebuilding.

I got that tip from TrollDragon in another thread. I think it's quite clever.

I don't have any Genis, but I understand that they are just like the Aeros--but not stainless steel. That's Kanger's economy line. :) I think the Emow Mega is my favorite. But they are all pretty much the same.

That sounds encouraging. Are you vaping clear, clean juices? My Kanger coils last for weeks if I don't put any dark, sweet, sticky stuff in them. Which I don't, BTW. I prefer clear ejuices--and I even vape unflavored.

I'm at 6 days so far with a clear juice, and made it 5 days with a sweet, sticky tobacco absolute liquid (Absolut Creme Brulee from Nicoticket)- the flavor was definitely still there, but the juice was turning dark in the tank so I knew it was time.

I love unflavored!

only been doing a rinse and boiled water soak to clean the coils- can these be boiled like cartos?

I never boiled my cartos--that really doesn't help. The problem is the gunk on the coil, and that gunk doesn't go away unless you dry burn. But you could try a "wet burn." Just vape a tankful of PG or PG/VG blend (add a few drops of vodka if you wish). Just don't inhale! ;) I do this often with my clearos and it seems to help keep the coils clean.

Yes, I try to vape the lightest juices possible to prolong my coil life. I've been doing the 6 day vape on some DIY Hazelnut, which is so clear it looks like water.

What's this "rebuilding" thing you're talking about......

I'm talking about rebuilding the coil heads. I like to do my vaping as cheaply as possible. :)

Try Google -- Rebuilding egrip head. I understand the coil heads are almost interchangeable with very similar configurations as some have modified the GS air coils every so slightly to use in their EGrips.

Or Aspire BDC coil. They all seem to have similar construction.

However, we won't know for sure until someone takes one apart and posts pictures. :)

Poor Lost... I'm so sorry you're having problems with those coils. :(
I'm good as long as I -
A. Don't use them with my iStick or
B. Use them with Cappuccino juice.

Eleaf GS is working like a champ, though! :)

I have 2 AeroTank Megas, 2 GeniTank Megas, and a GeniTank regular. I love them all. The Megas both use the same size glass tank so I bought the 5 packs of colored glass tanks from Fasttech. The GeniTank regular uses the same tank as the Protank II. The Mega size fits nicely on a 30 watt iStick.

The GS Air coils are holding up great for me. My Pineapple Cream clogs a carto in about 4 days. The GS Air coil lasted 8 days! That's with having to fill it a lot more since it doesn't hold as much as my carto tanks. I have a dark juice, Ahlusion Chai Latte, in another tank and it's going great after a week.

Well after going great for 7 days with the same coil, my juice suddenly started tasting off and the vapor was down. With my old T3S tanks, I'd just pop out the coil, take off the top, boil it in the microwave for a few minutes, then dry burn it, prime it, and then vape on it for another week or so. I could generally get 3 weeks or more before the coil was shot. So I took out this GS Air coil and boiled it for a few minutes. Sure enough, even though I vape a very clean ejuice, there was a bit of gunk in the water. Then I started looking at the coil and scratching my head trying to figure out how the heck to get it open so I could see the coil well enough to do a dry burn!

I'm still trying to figure that out. I didn't want to just pull out the needle noses and start trying to rip it apart. I looked at pictures of someone taking apart an egrip coil, but this one doesn't look similar to me. I'm still looking around. Has anyone else here done a dry burn on one of these yet?
