Wow! Did you wrap the head over the wicking with gauze or some other material? If not, how are you keeping it from flooding?

Actually (and I should have Mentioned this) when the Head Cover came off, the Gauze or whatever eleaf uses, was pretty much intact in the cover. So I just kinda Straightened it out, made it even, and Reused it.

Not sure what I am going to Use if I have to replace it. Someone suggested Gauze 1st Aid pads. Someone else said that Double Layer of Coffee Filter paper could be used.

What does Everyone here Else?

First time I tried the "tank to tank" cap removal, had the same sinking feeling when it popped!
1st aid gauze is the best liner...check my blog for pics of it at the Dollar store, enough for a lifetime.
You have now come to the Darkside of Air tanks...

I use gauze pads that I bought at the dollar store. Before I used the ones Cheech sent me.

Cool.

I just checked my MED Kit and I say a Large Variety of densities of the Gauze Pads that I have. I might have to do some Trial and Error to see what works Best.

I like the Idea of the Coffee Filter Paper. Because I could just Cut a Strip and then Fold it over. Not sure how well this would Word though?

I will Check Out your Blog. Thanks.

Yeah... I am a Card Carrying Air Head from this Day Forth. My Only Complaint is that I didn't try this GS Air MS Sooner.

Because it is a Great Size for an On-the-Go Tank. And the Hit is on a Par with All but My Best RBA's.

I'm Very Happy.

I've tried the coffee filter a couple of times and it worked for me...someone else tried it and it didn't work.
YMMV
You don't have to worry about the makeup of the liner material as it does not come in contact with the coil,
the gauze is some sort of rayon-poly-god only knows what. Just make sure it does not have anything else
on it, some of the gauze comes with anti-biotic properties, avoid those.

Just figured out a great way to pop the top of the new coils off... use an L shaped allen wrench, pop the small end into the stovepipe, and twist it so that the business end of it is directly up against the bottom edge of the cap. One quick pry and it comes off with no fuss. I use some soft jaw channel locks to work it back on evenly. Works great.

Do you think you could post some pics? I saw your earlier pics of the new coil top removed. Still can't get it straight in my mind.

I discovered the GS Air through learning that it's coils are interchangeable with eGrips. decided to give the Air a try and I'm very glad I did. Currently I have my 1st Air mounted on a Vision Spinner II running at 4.3 volts and it nearly matches the performance of my eGrip. That is my quest... to match the eGrips performance. Toward that end I've ordered an iStick 20 watt mod. Just wondering if anyone else might be running the same setup and how they feel about it.
I've read that JoyeTech and eLeaf seem to be joined at the hip in some way. Both the eGrip and the iStick 20 apparently hit the market about the same time and were not quite perfected in their rush to meet the holiday season. This has led me to wonder if the iStick 20s mean voltage issue might also be present in the eGrip which also seems to be a "hot" hitter with a great MTL hit. Thus I chose the 20 over newer variants.
Through my own clumsiness I've already broken one of my eGrips which is why I'm looking for an alternative. I've only been vaping for a month and credit the performance of the eGrip for the fact that I quit the nasties after only 2 weeks vaping. I'm sure you all will understand why I'm so focused on matching that performance. Anyway I'll give an iStick 20 with the GS Air a try and if it doesn't work out I can always buy another eGrip.
On another note..... Is it ok to refrigerate my juices? I was chain vaping in the beginning and seem to have overestimated my juice needs by quite a bit. Would hate to have them go bad on me before I get to them. Gets pretty warm at times in this 18 wheel asylum that I live in if I'm not idling the engine.
I use my GS Air MS on a Mini iStick 20w and run it at 20 watts with the new 1.2 ohm coils. Vapes a real treat! Easily on par with the eGrip... keep in mind that the eGrip OLED supports 30 watt vaping, though.

Yeah... When I had the Cover off, I kinda scoped it out with a Magnifying Glass. All it appears to do is act as a Secondary Wick to feed the Primary Coil Wick.

I think I will Try the Coffee Filter paper 1st. And if that Doesn't work, I'll go with Gauze Pads.

No worries. Might be tricky photographing what I was talking about with the wrench, though... but I'll give it a go. Try to get those up tonight.

Incidentally, I'm still working on the rebuild... trying to get the wicking density right. I've got a 1.1 ohm build, but keep flooding it out. Vapes great when it's not flooded, though. Have to match the density of that packed cotton sheet material Eleaf used... give me some time... I'll get it right.

I was referring to how the cap fits on the top...I'm picturing somewhat of a pressure fit manhole cover.
You might could do a video? "The Cloudmann Cap Removal"
