Eleaf Istick 50w charging issue

My sister just bought an eleaf and was told that it had to be discharged until it "locked". Is this true? I thought that they came with a LiPo and weren't subject to battery memory.

Many threads here about how and when to charge a battery. Most say charge when you can and try not to let it go all the way down for safety reasons. Most modern batteries have no memory as you said.

+1 for what @Jdurand said...no memory to deal with and not necessary to discharge fully.
In fact, Li-Ion batteries last longer if not fully discharged or always left fully charged, i.e., they spend most of their time somewhere in between.

I've bought 3 Istick 50w over the last month, & they've all died on me or the display goes blank.

I guess they haven't fixed the issues with the 50w.....kinda lame. My 20w has been going strong for almost a year.

I've just moved on from the Isticks, good for what they are, but far from good in my opinion.

I agree. She got a good deal at the local B&M vape store. She wanted to quit smoking and has done so. The Eleaf is not to the level of what my Segelei 150 is but she didn't have to pay a $100 either
